Process overview

The enterprise identity verification process consists of submitting your verification information for an manual review. The manual review typically takes about 3 business days. You will receive the verification result by email.

You can initiate enterprise identity verification for both individual and enterprise accounts. After you complete enterprise identity verification, you cannot change the account's type to individual. We recommend that you confirm this decision. For more information, see Identity verification overview.

Preparations

Before you begin, prepare a valid business certificate issued by the local government in the same Country/Region as your account, and provide a clear and complete color scan or digital photo of it. You can view the Country/Region information in the Basic Information section of the Account Center.

Tips for a successful submission

Recommended practice:

• File format: JPG, JPEG, PNG, or PDF.

• File size: Upload up to two files. Each file must not exceed 5 MB. The ID must occupy at least 40% of the image.

• Ensure the photo of the ID is clear, shows all four corners, contains legible text, and has no reflections or dark shadows. Upload the file from a frontal angle. Do not rotate the image by 90 or 180 degrees.

• Avoid using screenshots, photocopies, or edited images.

• Before submitting your information, verify that everything matches exactly what appears on your ID.

Behaviors to avoid:

• Upload a document that does not belong to your enterprise.

• The certificate is from a region different from where the enterprise is registered.

• Modify or forge document information.

• Submit an expired or invalid document.

Submit your information

1. Log on to the Alibaba Cloud Account Center and go to the Identity Verification page. Follow the steps based on your Account Type type. You can find your Account Type type on the Basic Information page. For more information, see Modify basic account information.

   • If your Account Type is Enterprise/Government (includes enterprises, governments, public institutions, groups, and organizations) (which includes enterprises, governments, public institutions, groups, and organizations), click Verify Now in the Verify Your Identity - Enterprise Account section.

   • If your Account Type is Personal, click Verify Now in the Upgrade to an Enterprise Account section.

2. Fill in and submit the following information for verification:

   Business Registration Document: Upload photos of the front and back of your business registration document. For more information, see Tips for a successful submission. Company Name: Enter your company's name as it appears on the Business Registration Certificate. If multiple language versions are available, use the English version. Note The Company Name field supports search. The search results can synchronize the Business Registration Number. The search feature is not yet available for enterprises in some countries, such as the United States, the United Arab Emirates, and Germany. You can also choose to Manual input. Business Registration Number: Enter the official registration number from your document. State/Province: Select the state or province of your enterprise's registered address. City: Enter the city of your enterprise's registered address. Address Line 1: Enter the street, P.O. box, or company name for your registered address. (Optional) Address Line 2: Enter the apartment, suite, unit, building, or floor number for your registered address. Purchase cloud resources in Chinese mainland or use acceleration regions that include Chinese mainland: Select an option as needed. Yes: Indicates that an independent compliance review will be initiated. This status is displayed separately from the identity verification status. No: You do not plan to purchase resources in the Chinese mainland. After verification, you can change your selection for Purchase cloud resources in the Chinese mainland or use acceleration regions that include it on the Identity Verification page. Read and select the confirmation checkbox to declare that the information you provided is true, accurate, and complete. Click Verify to complete the request.

Confirm authentication result

After you submit your materials, your request enters the manual review stage. Track the verification progress in real time on the Identity Verification page:

• Under Review: Your request has been successfully submitted and is being processed. The review typically takes about 3 business days.

• Verification Successful: Your identity information has been verified. You can now purchase eligible products and services.

• Failed: The request was not approved. Check the specific reason provided on the page, correct the information, and resubmit your request.
