Edge Security Acceleration (ESA) uses a hybrid billing model, combining a pre-paid subscription plan with post-paid billing for overages and value-added services. This model provides a fixed cost with pay-as-you-go billing for usage exceeding your plan's quotas, offering both cost predictability and service flexibility.
Billing rules
To use ESA, start with a subscription plan. You can use extra traffic or value-added services at any time. We will bill you for the additional usage at the end of each billing cycle.
Subscription plan fees
When adding a website to ESA, select a subscription plan based and pay in advance.
Activation: Your plan becomes active immediately after purchase or an upgrade. The billing cycle is a calendar month.
Traffic reset: The traffic allowance included in your plan resets at 00:00 on the first day of each month. Unused traffic does not roll over to the next month.
Upgrade: You can upgrade your plan at any time. The new plan starts immediately. You only pay the price difference for the rest of the current billing cycle.
Downgrade: Downgrading your subscription plan is not supported.

Plan overage fee
If your monthly traffic usage exceeds your plan's quota, the overage is billed on a pay-as-you-go basis:

Billing period: The system calculates and settles overage fees hourly.

Overage fee = Overage traffic (GB) × Unit price
