Introduction to the MongoDB console

MongoDB console is a Web application program that manages MongoDB instances. You can create and manage an instance, set the IP whitelist, password, and network, and perform other operations on the MongoDB console.


Use your Alibaba Cloud account to log on to the MongoDB console. If you do not have an Alibaba Cloud account, click here.

Console overview

Console homepage

The console homepage displays the same information for all MongoDB cluster instances of the ReplicaSet type.

Log on to the MongoDB console, and go to the Instance List page, as shown in the following figure. Note that the figure is only an example, the actual page may be different.

Parameter descriptions
1List of ReplicaSet instancesThe MongoDB console homepage displays the instances under an account in a region.
2RegionClick a region. The instances in this region are displayed in the instance list.
3RefreshRefresh the instance information page.
4Create instanceInstance creation portal.
5Instance IDClick the instance ID to go to the Instance Details page.
6RunningThe instance is in running status. The instance status varies with instance settings.
7ManagementClick Manage to go to the management details page of the instance and perform needed operations. For example, you can view the basic information and monitoring information, set backup, recovery, and the alert policy, and set IP whitelists.
8RestartRestart an instance.
9MoreShortcut keys for some operations, for example, switch network type and renew.
10Modify instance remarksClick the pencil icon to modify the instance remark name. If the parameter is not modified, it is same to the instance ID.

MongoDB instance console

Log on to the MongoDB console. Click an instance ID or Manage in the Actions column to go to the Basic Information page, as shown in the following table.

Backup and recoveryBackup listYou can view and download a list of data backups from a selected time period, recover data by the time scope, and create an instance from the backup point or by a time point.
