Bastionhost:Billing methods

Last Updated:Mar 13, 2026

Bastionhost uses a subscription billing method. Before purchasing an instance, review the billing details. This topic describes the billing details and refund policy for Bastionhost.

Billing cycle

The billing cycle for a subscription corresponds to the purchase period of the order (in UTC+8). A billing cycle begins when the resource is activated or renewed (accurate to the second) and ends at 00:00:00 on the day after the expiration date.

Note

Billing cycles based on years or months refer to calendar years and calendar months.

Purchasable specifications

Bastionhost is offered with flexible specifications based on its edition, the number of assets it can manage, and other extension modules. Choose specifications according to your required edition and actual usage. The following table lists the purchasable specifications for different Bastionhost editions.

Specification

Description

Plan

The number of assets that Bastionhost can manage. Select a plan based on the actual number of assets you manage and your future scale-out plans.

Bandwidth extension package

After you purchase a Bastionhost instance, a default bandwidth is configured. If the default bandwidth does not meet your needs, select a bandwidth extension package when you purchase the instance. For information about the billing of bandwidth extension packages, see Billing details.

Note

If your daily business scenarios involve multiple sessions that upload or download large files at the same time, or multiple sessions that use remote desktop for complex graphical operations, consider purchasing a bandwidth extension package.

Storage extension package

After you purchase a Bastionhost instance, a default storage space is configured to store session recordings and log backup files. If the default configuration does not meet your needs, select a storage extension package. For information about the billing of storage extension packages, see Billing details.

Billing details

Bastionhost is sold by region. Select a region to deploy Bastionhost as needed.

Note

The deployment region of Bastionhost must typically match the region of the managed assets. For cross-region management, ensure network connectivity between Bastionhost and the managed assets.

Important
  • RDP O&M through Bastionhost consumes more underlying performance resources. Therefore, the maximum number of concurrent RDP sessions is lower than that of SSH sessions.

  • In database O&M scenarios, a single O&M session may contain multiple concurrent connections. Therefore, the actual maximum number of concurrent database sessions cannot reach the total concurrent session quota of the Bastionhost instance. For example, in the same database O&M session, if you run queries on multiple databases, multiple connections may be created. If the total number of connections is too high, the overload protection mechanism of Bastionhost is triggered, and Bastionhost denies new session connections. For more information about the concurrency limits of Bastionhost, see Limits.

Expiration policy

  • If you do not renew your subscription Bastionhost instance within 7 days after it expires, the service is stopped and you cannot log on to the Bastionhost management interface.

  • If you do not renew the instance within the 7-day retention period after expiration, the instance is released. All related configuration and audit data is deleted.

Unsubscription policy

Bastionhost does not support unconditional refunds.
