You can configure alert rules for a single server. You can also add servers to an application group and then configure alert rules by group.

Prerequisites

The Cloud Monitor agent is installed on the server. For more information, see Install and uninstall the Cloud Monitor agent.

Create an alert rule

  1. Log on to the Cloud Monitor console.
  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Host Monitoring.
  3. On the Host Monitoring page, click the Alert Rules tab.
  4. On the Alert Rules tab, click Create Alert Rule in the upper-right corner.
  5. On the Create Alert Rule page, set the parameters.
    For more information about how to set the parameters, see Create a threshold-triggered alert rule.
  6. Click Confirm.

Delete an alert rule

  1. Log on to the Cloud Monitor console.
  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Host Monitoring.
  3. On the Host Monitoring page, click the Alert Rules tab.
  4. On the Alert Rules tab, find the alert rule that you want to delete and click Delete in the Actions column.
    Note You can select multiple alert rules and click Delete in the lower-left corner to delete them at a time.
  5. In the Delete Alert dialog box, click OK.

Modify an alert rule

Note If an alert rule is in the Disabled state, the alert rule cannot be modified.
  1. Log on to the Cloud Monitor console.
  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Host Monitoring.
  3. On the Host Monitoring page, click the Alert Rules tab.
  4. On the Alert Rules tab, find the alert rule that you want to modify and click Modify in the Actions column.
  5. In the Add or Edit Rules panel, modify the parameters as needed.
  6. Click Add.

View the basic information of an alert rule

  1. Log on to the Cloud Monitor console.
  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Host Monitoring.
  3. On the Host Monitoring page, click the Alert Rules tab.
  4. On the Alert Rules tab, find the alert rule that you want to view and click View in the Actions column.
    On the page that appears, you can view the basic information and logs of the alert rule. You can also enable, disable, or delete the alert rule.

View the alert logs of an alert rule

  1. Log on to the Cloud Monitor console.
  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Host Monitoring.
  3. On the Host Monitoring page, click the Alert Rules tab.
  4. On the Alert Rules tab, find the alert rule that you want to view and click Alert Logs in the Actions column.

Disable an alert rule

Note The alert rule must be in the Enabled state.
  1. Log on to the Cloud Monitor console.
  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Host Monitoring.
  3. On the Host Monitoring page, click the Alert Rules tab.
  4. On the Alert Rules tab, find the alert rule that you want to disable and click Disable in the Actions column.
    Note You can select multiple alert rules and click Disable in the lower-left corner to disable them at a time.
  5. In the Disable Alert Rule dialog box, click OK.

    To enable a disabled rule, you can click Enable in the Actions. You can also select multiple alert rules and click Enable in the lower-left corner to enable them at a time.
