This topic describes how to delete the AliyunServiceRoleForConfig service-linked role by using an ordinary account, management account, delegated administrator account, or member account.

The following list describes the accounts that are related to the AliyunServiceRoleForConfig service-linked role:
  • Ordinary account: An ordinary account is an independent Alibaba Cloud account that is not included in a resource directory.
  • Management account: A management account is an Alibaba Cloud account that enables a resource directory and manages all member accounts in the resource directory.
  • Delegated administrator account: For more information, see Manage a delegated administrator account.
  • Member account: A member account is an Alibaba Cloud account in a resource directory.

Ordinary accounts

  1. Deactivate Cloud Config.

    For more information, see Deactivate Cloud Config.

  2. Delete the AliyunServiceRoleForConfig service-linked role.

    For more information, see Delete a RAM role.

Management accounts or delegated administrator accounts

  1. Deactivate Cloud Config.

    For more information, see Deactivate Cloud Config.

    Note Before you perform this operation, make sure that no account group is created by using the management account or the delegated administrator account. For more information, see Delete an account group.
  2. Use a management account or a delegated administrator account to delete the AliyunServiceRoleForConfig service-linked role.

Member accounts

  1. Deactivate Cloud Config.

    For more information, see Deactivate Cloud Config.

    Note Before you perform this operation, make sure that no member account is added to an account group. For more information, see Modify an account group.
  2. Delete the AliyunServiceRoleForConfig service-linked role.
