After you deactivate Cloud Config, the resource configurations, created rules, and compliance evaluation results that are stored in Cloud Config are automatically cleared and cannot be restored. Proceed with caution.


  1. Log on to the Cloud Config console.
  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Settings > Service Settings.
  3. On the Service Settings page, click Terminate.
  4. On the tab that appears, click Deactivate Cloud Config.
  5. In the Confirm Operation message, click OK.
