You can attach a data disk to your simple application server after you create the simple application server. This topic describes how to attach a data disk to a simple application server after the server is created.
Usage notes
Before you attach a data disk, take not of the following items:
Only one data disk can be attached to a simple application server. If you have attached a data disk when you create a simple application server, you can only extend the data disk after you create the server. For more information, see Extend the data disk.
The data disk and the simple application server to which the data disk is attached expire at the same time. The data disk is bound to the simple application server and cannot be uninstalled.
After a data disk is attached to a simple application server, the data disk and the simple application server must be renewed together.
Procedure
Log on to the Simple Application Server console.
In the left-side navigation pane, click Servers.
Click the server ID in the card of the server to which you want to attach a data disk.
Click the Disk tab.
In the upper-left corner of the Disk tab, click Mount a data disk.
In the Precautions dialog box, read the precautions and click Data Disk Operations.
Check the current configurations and expiration time of the disk, and select a size for the data disk next to Data Disk.
You can attach only one data disk to a simple application server. The following limits apply to the size of a data disk:
A value of 0 indicates that no data disk is attached.
If the disk included in the selected Instance Plan is a standard SSD, the size of the data disk ranges from 20 GB to 16,380 GB.
If the disk included in the selected Instance Plan is a PL0 enhanced SSD (ESSD), the size of the data disk ranges from 40 GB to 16,380 GB.
Select I have read and agree to the Simple Application Server service terms and I have read and agree to the image usage terms check boxes.
Click Buy Now.
