Scenarios

Site monitoring sends detection requests to the domain names or IP addresses of carrier detection points in different regions around the world. Then, you can obtain information about the network quality and connectivity of accessed sites of carriers.

Billing cycle

Bills are generated on a daily basis.

Billing formula

Fee for using the site monitoring feature = Number of detection requests × Unit price of detection requests.

Pricing

• PCs

  • If you use detection points provided by carriers in China, the unit price is USD 1.7 per 10,000 detection requests (USD 0.00017 per detection request).

  • If you use detection points provided by carriers outside China, the unit price is USD 8.4 per 10,000 detection points (USD 0.00084 per detection point).

  Note

  • Carriers in China are carriers that are registered in China, such as Alibaba Cloud, China Mobile, China Unicom, and China Telecom.

  • Carriers outside China are carriers that are registered outside China, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google.

• Mobile devices

  If you use detection points provided by carriers in China, the unit price is USD 60 per 10,000 detection requests (USD 0.006 per detection request).

Billing example

• PCs

  For example, you activated Network Analysis and Monitoring and created a site monitoring task on November 1, 2023. The task sends requests to the detection points that are located in 20 regions of China Mobile and 10 regions of Amazon Web Services (AWS) at a frequency of 5 minutes. The following items show the fees in November:

  1. Detection fee for China Mobile = 60 minutes / 5 minutes × 24 hours × 30 days × 20 detection points × USD 1.7/10,000 = USD 29.376

  2. Detection fee for AWS = 60 minutes / 5 minutes × 24 hours × 30 days × 10 detection points × USD 8.4/10,000 = USD 72.576

  3. Total detection fee in November = USD 29.376 + USD 72.576 = USD 101.952

• Mobile devices

  For example, you activated Network Analysis and Monitoring and created a site monitoring task on August 1, 2023. The task sends requests to the mobile detection points that are located in five regions of China Mobile at a frequency of 5 minutes. The following items show the fee in August:

  Total detection fee in August = 60 minutes / 5 minutes × 24 hours × 31 days × 5 detection points × USD 60/10,000 = USD 267.84

You can create a browser detection task to monitor the stability and performance of a URL being accessed from browsers. Simulated access requests are sent to the specified URL in different regions and network environments.

• If you use detection points provided by carriers in China, the unit price is USD 0.0015 per detection request.

• If you use detection points provided by carriers outside China, the unit price is USD 0.0075 per detection request.

Billing example

For example, you activated Network Analysis and Monitoring and created a browser detection task on July 1, 2023. The task sends requests to the detection points that are located in the China (Shanghai) region of Alibaba Cloud and the UK (London) region of Alibaba Cloud at a frequency of 5 minutes. The following items show the fees in July:

1. Detection fee for the China (Shanghai) region of Alibaba Cloud = 60 minutes / 5 minutes × 24 hours × 31 days × 1 detection point × USD 0.0015 = USD 13.392

2. Detection fee for the UK (London) region of Alibaba Cloud = 60 minutes / 5 minutes × 24 hours × 31 days × 1 detection point × USD 0.0075 = USD 66.96

3. Total detection fee in July = USD 13.392 + USD 66.96 = USD 80.352
