ApsaraDB for MongoDB:Create a tag

If you have a large number of instances, you can create and add multiple tags to classify and filter instances by tag.

Prerequisites

An Alibaba Cloud account is created and used to log on to the ApsaraDB for MongoDB console. Resource Access Management (RAM) users do not have permissions to manage and use tags.

Limits

  • A tag consists of a key and a value. The tag key created by an Alibaba Cloud account is unique in a region. The tag values of different keys can be the same in the same region.

    Note

    A key can have zero to multiple values.

  • You can edit tags for a maximum of 50 instances at a time.

  • You can add up to 20 tags to an instance.

  • You can add or remove up to 20 tags at a time.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the ApsaraDB for MongoDB console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Replica Set Instances or Sharded Cluster Instances.

  3. In the upper-left corner of the page, select the resource group and region to which the instance belongs.

  4. Perform one of the following operations based on your requirement:

    • Create tags for a single instance

      Find the instance that you want to manage and click More in the Actions column. Then, select Edit tags.

    • Create tags for multiple instances

      1. Select the instances to which you want to add tags.

      2. In the lower-left corner, click Edit tags.

  5. In the Edit Tags dialog box, click Create.

    Note

    If tags are created, click Available Tags to add the tags to the instances. For more information, see Bind existing tags.

  6. Specify a key and a value for the tag, and then click Ok.

  7. In the lower-right corner of the dialog box, click OK.

    Note

    After you create a tag for an instance, you can add the tag to other instances.

Result

After you create a tag for an instance, you can view the information of the tag that is added to the instance in the instance list.
