Elastic IP Address:Associate an EIP with a CLB instance

Last Updated:Dec 29, 2023

This topic describes how to associate an elastic IP address (EIP) with an internal-facing Classic Load Balancer (CLB) instance in a virtual private cloud (VPC). CLB is formerly known as Server Load Balancer (SLB). After an EIP is associated with a CLB instance, the CLB instance can forward requests from the Internet.

Prerequisites

A CLB instance is created and the CLB instance meets the following requirements:

  • The CLB instance is an internal-facing instance in a VPC.

  • The CLB instance and the EIP belong to the same region.

For more information about how to create a CLB instance, see Create a CLB instance.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the Elastic IP Address console .
  2. In the top navigation bar, select the region where the EIP is created.
  3. On the Elastic IP Addresses page, find the EIP that you created and click Associate with Resource in the Actions column.

  4. In the Associate EIP with Resource dialog box, configure the following parameters and click OK.
