Billing overview
AgentBay uses a flexible billing model that combines a Basic plan, subscription plans, and pay-as-you-go to meet your resource needs.

Basic plan: A free plan that provides the basic features of AgentBay.

Subscription plan: A monthly subscription, available as a Pro plan or an Ultra plan, that provides access to most or all AgentBay features. Your usage first consumes the resource quota included in your subscription plan. Any overage is automatically billed on a pay-as-you-go basis.

Pay-as-you-go: Billed in real time based on your actual resource usage.

Notes:

Concurrent session limit: The maximum number of sessions that can run at the same time. A session is a single, independent interaction flow, such as an application launch or an automated task, not a long-running compute instance.

Pay-as-you-go: You are billed for compute resources after you use them.

Basic bandwidth: Each instance comes with free basic bandwidth with a peak of 10 Mbps. It is measured based on inbound traffic and does not include a Service-Level Agreement (SLA).

Premium bandwidth: Provides dedicated bandwidth resources with a customizable peak. A dedicated IP address is allocated per UID. This option is suitable for scenarios that require high network stability and is billed separately.

Storage: Used to persist context data and session replay records. Overage is billed on a pay-as-you-go basis, with a minimum billing unit of MiB. This storage is separate from the system disk and data disk of compute resources.
The included quota in a plan is non-transferable and non-refundable. Plans may change due to feature upgrades and iterations. AgentBay reserves the right to make improvements to the preceding content. For the latest information, see Product Announcements.
Plan rules
Plan changes

You can upgrade from the Pro plan to the Ultra plan.

You cannot downgrade from the Ultra plan to the Pro plan.

After you change your plan, your old plan is immediately billed based on the time used.

Your new plan inherits the expiration date of the previous plan, and you are charged the price difference for the remaining time.
The price difference is calculated by using the following formula:
Price difference = (Ultra plan price - Pro plan price) × Remaining days in subscription / 30
For example, if you purchase a Pro plan on October 1 and upgrade to an Ultra plan on October 10, the price difference you need to pay is calculated as follows:
$50.67 ≈ ($225 - $149) x (30 - 10) / 30
Plan renewal
To ensure uninterrupted service, we recommend that you enable auto-renewal.

Go to the Billing Management console.

In the left-side navigation pane, choose .

On the Manual Renewal tab, find your AgentBay subscription and click Enable Auto-renewal in the Actions column.
You can follow the same steps to enable or disable auto-renewal later.
Plan downgrades
If your Pro or Ultra plan becomes invalid, for example, due to an overdue payment, your plan is downgraded to the Basic plan, which has the following effects:

Enabled custom images become invalid immediately.

Custom image files are retained for three months. If you do not renew the subscription within this period, the system deletes the custom image files.

The included storage quota decreases from 1 TiB to 100 GiB. Storage usage that exceeds 100 GiB is billed on a pay-as-you-go basis.

Credits
AgentBay's built-in AI agents are powered by models from Model Studio. These agents can automatically execute sub-operations to handle complex tasks efficiently and reliably. Using these agents consumes Credits.
AgentBay uses Credits only to meter and charge for large language model token consumption. They do not cover costs for compute resources (CPU/Memory), storage (Context), or network (bandwidth).

Calculation examples

If you use the Browser Use Agent and a call consumes 100,000 input tokens and 10,000 output tokens, the Credit consumption is calculated as follows: 100,000 / 1,000,000 × 16.8 + 10,000 / 1,000,000 × 134.4 = 3.024 Credits (equivalent to
$0.0807). -
If you use the Mobile Use Agent and consume the same number of tokens, the Credit consumption is calculated as follows: 100,000 / 1,000,000 × 11.2 + 10,000 / 1,000,000 × 89.6 = 2.016 Credits (equivalent to $0.0538).

Overdue payment rules
If your Alibaba Cloud account has an overdue payment, you cannot use the pay-as-you-go billing method, and you lose access to the following AgentBay features:

You cannot create new API keys.

All your API keys are set to Overdue and cannot be used.
-
You cannot create new custom images. You can still delete and disable existing custom images.
-
All your custom images are set to Overdue and cannot be enabled.

You cannot create new sessions.
-
Enabled delivery groups are released after one day.
-
You cannot use storage that exceeds the quota included in your plan.

You cannot configure concurrency.
Billing example
A customer on the Ultra plan with a custom peak concurrency of 300 creates a total of 60,000 sessions over a 30-day month, without exceeding the peak concurrency limit. Each session uses a 4-core, 8 GB resource specification for an average of 10 minutes. The customer enables premium bandwidth, accumulating 1,000 GB of inbound traffic. Some sessions call the Agent API, consuming a total of 1,000 Credits. The total storage for Context and other data reaches 10 TiB. The estimated monthly cost is approximately $2,807.2984, as detailed in the following table:

FAQ

Is the Basic plan completely free?
The Basic plan itself is free and provides access to basic AgentBay features and a 100 GiB storage quota. However, you are still charged for any compute resources (CPU and memory), storage usage that exceeds the included quota, and other pay-as-you-go resources that you consume.

Am I billed for idle sessions?
Yes. As long as a session is in a running state and has not been deleted, you are billed for the compute resources (CPU and memory) it occupies, regardless of whether its internal processes are executing tasks.

Is the plan's billing cycle based on the calendar month or the purchase date?
The validity period of a plan starts from the date of purchase and ends at 00:00 on the same date of the following month. For example, if you purchase a plan on the 10th of a month, its validity period is from the 10th of that month to 00:00 on the 10th of the next month. The day of purchase is included as a bonus period.

Can pay-as-you-go billing be paused?
No, you cannot pause pay-as-you-go billing. AgentBay bills you based on your actual resource consumption and does not provide a feature to pause billing. To stop incurring charges, you can disable your API key in the AgentBay console. After the API key is disabled, you cannot initiate new calls, and you will not incur any pay-as-you-go fees.
