HTTPS Acceleration Gateway is billed by the number of instances, the Gateway Resource Calculation Quantity (GRCQ) consumed, and the subscription duration. Understanding GRCQ helps you estimate costs and avoid service interruptions caused by depleted resources.
How GRCQ is calculated
GRCQ measures your gateway resource usage, calculated hourly across two dimensions: website requests and outbound traffic.
| Dimension | Rate | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Website requests | 1 GRCQ per 150 requests/hour | 1–150 requests in an hour = 1 GRCQ |
| Outbound traffic | 1 GRCQ per 30 MB/hour | 1–30 MB in an hour = 1 GRCQ |
Minimum charge per active hour: If both website requests and outbound traffic occur within the same hour, at least 2 GRCQ is consumed. No GRCQ is consumed during hours with no website requests or outbound traffic.
GRCQ included by subscription duration
Each instance comes with a GRCQ allocation based on the subscription duration you select. Estimate your GRCQ needs based on expected website traffic. If the included allocation is insufficient, purchase additional GRCQ. For details, see Purchase GRCQ.
| Subscription duration | GRCQ included |
|---|---|
| 1 month | 300 |
| 3 months | 900 |
| 6 months | 1,800 |
| 1 year | 4,000 |
| 2 years | 8,000 |
| 3 years | 12,000 |

Service expiration
When your HTTPS Acceleration Gateway instance expires or your GRCQ is depleted, your website loses HTTPS acceleration and secure access, which can also affect its search engine ranking. The table below shows when the system notifies you and what action to take.
| Event | Notification trigger | Recommended action |
|---|---|---|
| Instance expiration | 30 calendar days before expiration | Renew the instance manually or enable auto-renewal |
| GRCQ running low | GRCQ balance drops below 30% — email sent every 2 days | Purchase additional GRCQ; enable auto-renewal on your GRCQ resource plan to avoid gaps |
