    Managed Service for Grafana became commercially available at 00:00 on February 8, 2023. It comes in several editions: the free Shared Edition, the Pro Edition, and the Advanced Edition.

    Shared Edition

    Managed Service for Grafana provides a free Shared Edition workspace by default. This workspace comes pre-integrated with data from Application Monitoring and Managed Service for Prometheus, accessible through the following dashboards:

    • Application Monitoring dashboard. For more information about the metrics on this dashboard, see Application Monitoring metrics.

    • Default Prometheus dashboard. For more information about the metrics on this dashboard, see Metrics.

    • ARMS Alert dashboard.

    • Synthetic Monitoring dashboard.

    The Shared Edition does not support adding custom data sources, including ACK clusters. Data sources are automatically synchronized from Application Monitoring and Managed Service for Prometheus. To add an ACK cluster or a custom Managed Service for Prometheus data source, you must upgrade to a commercial edition (Developer Edition, Pro Edition, or Advanced Edition) and use the HTTP API address of the Managed Service for Prometheus instance to connect the data source.

    Important

    Grafana is an integrated third-party open source tool. You can edit dashboards in the Grafana UI, but you cannot save your changes.

    Pro Edition and Advanced Edition

    Managed Service for Grafana is billed on a subscription basis. You can select an edition and a subscription duration.

    • When you activate the Pro Edition for the first time, you receive a one-month free trial for the base specification (10 users).

      Note

      You must set the subscription duration to 1 month when you create the workspace.

    • The subscription period is based on calendar days. The minimum subscription duration is one month. Resources become available on the day of purchase.
