WUYING Workspace:Manage self-uploaded applications

If WUYING applications cannot fulfil your business requirements, you can upload in-house applications or third-party applications to WUYING Workspace. This topic describes how to upload and manage in-house or third-party applications.

Upload an application

  1. Log on to the WUYING Workspace (Pro Edition) console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Apps > App Management.

  3. On the Applications page, click Upload App.

  4. In the Upload App panel, configure the following parameters based on your business requirements and click OK.

    Parameter

    Description

    Application Type

    The type of the application that you want to upload. You can select Cloud Computer Apps or Web Apps.

    Name

    The name of the application that you want to upload.

    Version

    The version of the application that you want to upload.

    Developer

    The developer of the application that you want to upload.

    Description

    The purpose and features of the application that you want to upload.

    Details

    The detailed information about the application that you want to upload.

    Icon

    The icon of the application that you want to upload. Click Upload and select an image from your on-premises computer as the application icon.

    Note

    You can upload a PNG, SVG, JPG, or JPEG image. The image size cannot exceed 1 MB.

    Category

    The category into which the application falls. Select a value from the drop-down list.

    Application Tag

    The tags that you want to add to the application. You can quickly search for an application by its tags. You can add up to five tags.

    Installation Method

    The installation method of the application. This parameter is displayed only when you set the Application Type parameter to Cloud Computer Apps.

    You can select Upload File or Use OSS Object URL based on your business requirements.

    • Upload a file

      Select Upload File, click By Uploading, and then select a file that meets the requirements.

      Note

      You can upload only an EXE or MSI file. The file size cannot exceed 5 GB. If the size of the file that you want to upload exceeds 5 GB, we recommend that you select Use OSS Object URL.

    • Use an OSS object URL

      1. Select Use OSS Object URL.

      2. You can click the help documentation next to Use OSS Object URL to view how to obtain an OSS object URL.

      3. In the Use OSS Object URL text box, enter the OSS object URL obtained in the preceding step.

    Application URL

    The URL of the application. This parameter is displayed only when you set the Application Type parameter to Web Apps.

    Registration Terms

    You must read and agree to Non-Infringement Commitment and Disclaimer.

Modify a self-uploaded application

  1. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Apps > App Management.

  2. On the Applications page, find the desired application and click View Details in the Actions column.

  3. In the View Details panel, click Modify.

  4. In the Modify panel, modify the application name, developer, and description based on your business requirements, and click OK.

Modify the version information or upload a new version

If a self-uploaded application has a new version released, you can modify the version information or upload a new version.

  1. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Apps > App Management.

  2. On the Applications page, find the desired application and perform one of the following operations based on your business requirements:

    Cloud computer applications

    • Modify the current version

      1. Click the left-side drop-down arrow. In the panel that appears, click Edit in the Actions column.

      2. In the Modify Version panel, update the version information and click OK.

    • Upload a new version

      1. In the Actions column, click theicon and choose Upload Latest Version from the menu.

      2. In the Upload Latest Version panel, configure parameters based on your business requirements and click OK.

    Web applications

    1. Click the left-side drop-down arrow. In the panel that appears, click Edit in the Actions column.

    2. In the Modify Version panel, enter the new application URL and click OK.

Configure application visibility

You can use the Application Visibility and Select User parameters to specify whether an application is visible and specify the users to which the application is visible.

  1. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Apps > App Management.

  2. On the Applications page, find the desired application and perform one of the following operations based on your business requirements:

    • Single operation: Click Configure Visibility in the Actions column of the desired application.

    • Batch operation: Select multiple applications and click Batch Configure Visibility in the upper-left part of the page.

  3. In the Configure Visibility panel or the Batch Configure Visibility panel, perform one of the following operations based on your business requirements:

    • If you want to make the application invisible to all users, turn off the Application Visibility switch.

    • If you want to make the application visible to all users, turn on the Application Visibility switch and select All User in the Select User field.

    • If you want to make the application visible to specified users, turn on the Application visibility switch and select Specific User in the Select User field.

  4. (Optional) If you want to enable automatic installation of the application, select The system automatically installs applications after you configure the applications that are visible to users.

  5. Click OK.

Enable automatic installation

For applications that support silent installation, you can enable automatic installation.

  1. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Apps > App Management.

  2. On the Applications page, find the desired application and perform one of the following operations based on your business requirements:

    • Single operation: Click Auto Installation in the Actions column of the desired application.

    • Batch operation: Select multiple applications and click Batch Auto Installation in the upper-left part of the page.

  3. In the Auto Installation panel or the Batch Auto Installation panel, configure silent installation parameters and perform one of the following operations based on your business requirements:

    • If you want to enable automatic installation for all users of the application, select All User.

    • If you want to enable automatic installation for specified users of the application, select Specific User and then select the specified users.

  4. Click OK.

Manage silent installation and uninstallation parameters

For applications that support silent installation and uninstallation, you can configure the parameters for silent installation and uninstallation.

  1. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Apps > App Management.

  2. On the Applications page, find the desired application, click the icon in the Actions column, and then choose Silent Parameters from the menu.

  3. In the Manage Silent Parameters dialog box, modify the Silent Installation Parameters and Silent Uninstallation Parameters settings and click OK.

Delete a self-uploaded application

If you no longer need a self-uploaded application, you can delete it.

  1. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Apps > App Management.

  2. On the Applications page, find the desired application and perform one of the following operations based on your business requirements:

    • Single operation: Click View Details in the Actions column of the desired application and click Delete in the View Details panel. Then, click OK in the message that appears.

    • Batch deletion: Select multiple applications and click Batch Delete in the lower-left part of the page. In the message that appears, click OK.
