WUYING Workspace:Manage NAS file systems

Last Updated:Feb 26, 2024

This section describes how to reset a mount target and delete an Apsara File Storage NAS (NAS) file system.

Reset a mount target

Note

The mount target of a NAS file system is an entry point for a cloud computer to access the NAS file system. You can associate multiple cloud computers that reside in the same office network to the mount target. This way, files can be accessed and shared between the cloud computers.

When you create a NAS file system, the system automatically generates a mount target with which the file system is associated and mounts the office network to the mount target. In this case, end users can access the NAS file system as a common directory when they store files or data on cloud computers.

By default, you do not need to modify the mount target. If a mount target is deleted, you can reset the mount target. The system automatically generates a new mount target and associates office networks with the new mount target.

Important

You can reset a mount target only when the mount target is unavailable, for example, when the mount target is deleted in the NAS console and the NAS file system is in the Invalid state.

  1. Log on to the WUYING Workspace console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Network & Storage > Apsara File Storage NAS.

  3. In the upper-left corner of the top navigation bar, select a region.

  4. On the Apsara File Storage NAS page, find the required NAS file system and click Reset Mount Target in the Actions column.

  5. In the message that appears, click OK.

After you reset the mount target, the system automatically generates a new mount target for the related office network. The NAS file system is in the Started state.

Delete a NAS file system

If you no longer need to share files between Windows cloud computers that reside in the same office network, you can delete the mounted NAS file system.

Warning
  • You must back up files and data in the NAS file system before you delete it.

  • After you delete the NAS file system, files cannot be shared between Windows cloud computers that reside in the same office network. This may affect business, and data in the NAS file system cannot be restored. Proceed with caution.

  1. Log on to the WUYING Workspace console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Network & Storage > Apsara File Storage NAS.

  3. In the upper-left corner of the top navigation bar, select a region.

  4. On the Apsara File Storage NAS page, use one of the following methods to delete a NAS file system:

    • Find the NAS file system that you want to delete and click Delete in the Actions column.

    • Select one or more NAS file systems and click Delete in the lower part of the page.

  5. In the message that appears, click Confirm.
