WUYING Workspace:Configure a client IP address whitelist

Last Updated:Aug 14, 2023

A client IP address whitelist can be used to control CIDR blocks from which end users can connect to cloud computers by using a WUYING client. You can add CIDR blocks to the whitelist.

Overview

By default, the whitelist is not configured. End users can connect to cloud computers from all IP addresses by using WUYING clients. If you want end users to connect to cloud computers only from specific CIDR blocks, you can use the Client IP Whitelist feature to specify the CIDR blocks.

For example, an enterprise administrator can configure a client IP address whitelist to allow only employees in a specific region to connect to cloud computers by using WUYING clients. This improves data security.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the WUYING Workspace console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Operations > Policies.

  3. In the upper-left corner of the top navigation bar, select a region.

  4. On the Policies page, click Create Policy.

  5. In the Create Policy panel, enter the name of the policy that you want to create as prompted.

  1. Click Client IP Whitelist and add CIDR blocks to the whitelist as prompted.

    1. Enter a CIDR block and its description based on your business requirements.

      Note

      Example: 192.0.XX.XX/32 or 10.0.XX.XX/8.

    2. Click Add.

Then, you can view the CIDR block in the whitelist.

  2. Click Create.

After the policy is created, you can view the policy on the Policies page.
