App Streaming charges only for cloud app resources—the computing instances that run your cloud apps. Two billing methods are available: subscription (prepaid) and pay-as-you-go (postpaid). This topic covers billing methods, prices by region, billing cycles, payment methods, and what happens when payments are overdue.

Subscription resources are required. Pay-as-you-go scalable resources are optional—add them to handle peak demand beyond your subscribed capacity.
Billable items
The only billable item is the cloud app resource. Each resource is a cloud computing instance that hosts your cloud apps and is defined by a specification plan (vCPUs, memory, and optionally GPU memory).
When setting up cloud apps, choose:
Specification: vCPUs, memory, and GPU memory that match your app requirements
Resource quota: the total number of resource instances in your deployment
Region: the region closest to your end users
Concurrent sessions per resource: the number of simultaneous user sessions a single resource can handle

All prices are in USD. Subscription prices are per resource per month. Pay-as-you-go prices are per resource per hour.

Billing cycles
The billing cycle for subscription resources is the subscription duration, measured in UTC+8. Available durations:

For durations shorter than one month, the system calculates the monthly equivalent by dividing the subscription duration by 30 days. Pay-as-you-go scalable resources are billed hourly, with usage calculated to the second.

Subscription resources
Subscription resources require upfront payment before use. Resources remain available even if your Alibaba Cloud account has an overdue balance.
Pay-as-you-go scalable resources
When your Alibaba Cloud account has an overdue balance:
Resources with active sessions: retained and continue to generate charges. If the overdue balance is not cleared within 7 days, the resources are released.
Resources with no active sessions: released immediately.
In this case, subscription resources remain available for use.
Released resources cannot be restored. To avoid service interruption, clear any overdue balance promptly.
Renew subscription resources
Log on to the App Streaming console.
In the left-side navigation pane, click Delivery Groups.
On the Delivery Groups page, find the delivery group to renew. Search by status, name, or ID.
In the Actions column, click Renew Resources.
In the Renew Resources dialog box, review the expiration time, select a renewal duration, and click OK.
On the Purchase page, select a payment method and click Subscribe.
To avoid missing a renewal, enable the renewal reminder: in the App Streaming console, click Overview in the left-side navigation pane. In the Deliver Group section, turn on Renewal Reminder. When enabled, the console displays a notification when resources are about to expire or have already expired.
