App Streaming supports the subscription and pay-as-you-go billing methods. This topic describes the billing formulas, billable items, billing cycles, and payment methods of App Streaming.
Billing methods
App Streaming supports the following billing methods:
Subscription: a billing method that requires you to pay upfront before you can use resources.
Subscription fees = Unit price of subscription resources × Number of resources × Subscription durationPay-as-you-go: a billing method that allows you to pay for resources based on your actual usage.
Pay-as-you-go fees = Unit price of pay-as-you-go scalable resources × Usage duration
Subscription resources are required. Pay-as-you-go scalable resources are optional.
Billable items
When you use App Streaming, you need to pay only for cloud app resources. A cloud app resource is a cloud computing carrier that supports the running of cloud apps. Resources are sold based on specification plans. Each specification varies in terms of vCPUs, memory, and GPUs. You can determine the resource specification, resource quota, and region of cloud apps based on the use scenarios of your end users. You can also specify the number of concurrent sessions that can be connected to a single resource to ensure optimal user experience.

Billing cycles
In App Streaming, a billing cycle is the subscription duration, in UTC+8. The following billing cycles are available:

If you select a subscription duration that is less than one month, the system converts the duration into months by dividing the subscription duration by 30 days.
You are charged for pay-as-you-go scalable resources on an hourly basis. The calculation is accurate to seconds.
Payment methods
App Streaming supports the following payment methods:
Balance in your Alibaba Cloud account
Online payment
Overdue payments
Subscription resources
Before you can use subscription resources, an upfront payment is required. You can still use subscription resources even if your Alibaba Cloud account has overdue payments.
Pay-as-you-go scalable resources
You are charged for pay-as-you-go scalable resources based on your actual usage. If your Alibaba Cloud account has overdue payments, resources to which sessions are connected are retained, and fees are still generated. In this case, subscription resources remain available for use.
Resources to which sessions are connected are retained, and fees are still generated. If you do not add funds to your Alibaba Cloud account within seven days, the resources are released.
Resources to which no session is connected are immediately released.
After resources are released, they cannot be restored. To prevent issues caused by resource release, renew your resources at the earliest opportunity.
Renew subscription resources
To renew subscription cloud app resources, perform the following steps:
Log on to the App Streaming console.
In the left-side navigation pane, click Delivery Groups.
On the Delivery Groups page, find the delivery group that you want to manage. You can search for the delivery group by status, name, or ID.
In the Actions column of the delivery group, click Renew Resources.
In the Renew Resources dialog box, view the expiration time of the resources in the delivery group, select a renewal duration, and then click OK.
On the Purchase page, select a payment method and click Subscribe.
To ensure that your subscription resources are renewed as scheduled, you can perform the following operations to configure a renewal reminder: In the left-side navigation pane in the App Streaming console, click Overview. In the Deliver Group section of the Overview page, turn on Renewal Reminder. After you turn on the renewal reminder, a message indicating that specific resources are about to expire or already expired is displayed in the App Streaming console.
