VPN Gateway:Enable IPsec-VPN

Last Updated:May 14, 2024

If the IPsec-VPN feature is disabled for the VPN gateway that you create, you can directly enable the IPsec-VPN feature for the VPN gateway without the need to create a new VPN gateway.

Background information

Effective time

The IPsec-VPN feature immediately takes effect after you enable this feature for a VPN gateway. However, latency may occur due to network issues. You may need to wait for a few minutes.

Impacts on billing

After you modify a VPN gateway and submit the order, the system bills the VPN gateway based on the new configuration. For more information, see Billing rules.

  1. Log on to the VPN Gateway console.

  2. In the top navigation bar, select the region in which the VPN gateway resides.

  3. On the VPN Gateway page, find the VPN gateway that you want to manage and click Enable next to IPsec Disabled in the Feature Configuration column.

  4. On the configurations page, select Enable for the IPsec-VPN parameter, read and select the Terms of Service, click Buy Now, and then complete the payment.

For more information about how to disable the IPsec-VPN feature for a VPN gateway, see the Downgrade section of the "Upgrade or downgrade a VPN gateway" topic.
