ApsaraVideo VOD:Single-point tracing

Last Updated:Jun 13, 2025

If an error occurs when you use ApsaraVideo Player to play videos, use the single-point tracing feature to locate the cause of the error. The feature allows you to query playback details at the session and user levels and improves the efficiency of playback management by tracing playback exceptions in all links.

Prerequisites

Before you use the single-point tracing feature, make sure that the following conditions are met:

Important

The system player, third-party players, and ApsaraVideo Player that is not on an Android, iOS, or web client do not support the single-point tracing feature.

Limits

  • You can query only the most recent 10,000 sessions. Earlier sessions are not displayed.

  • You can query only the playback data generated in the last three days.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the ApsaraVideo VOD console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Data Center > Single-point Tracing.

  3. Query playback sessions.

    单点追查

    • In the Enter a traceId field, enter the traceId that you passed when you create the player. This way, you can query playback sessions of a specific user or device.

    • You can query playback sessions that were created within the last three days and specify conditions such as the time range, file type (on-demand audio and video files or live streams), and status (playback completed, playing, or playback failed) to filter playback sessions.

  4. Click View Details to view the details of the playback session.
