To enhance your payment experience, Alibaba Cloud will be upgrading the credit card payment system on the international site (www.alibabacloud.com ) starting September 26, 2025.
During the upgrade period, you can continue to perform all standard operations, including:
Paying for orders and bills
Processing refunds
Attaching, editing, or detaching credit cards
No service disruption is expected during this process.
Key updates
Simplified credit card registration
The billing address is now optional in most countries—no longer required when adding a new card.
The cardholder name is now entered in a single field, streamlining the input process.
If a security risk is detected during card attachment, 3D Secure authentication is required to complete the process.
Users in Malaysia and European Union (EU) member countries are required to complete 3D Secure authentication by local regulations.
Updated card information display
For existing attached credit cards, the "Last Updated" timestamp will be refreshed due to backend data updates.
This change does not affect card functionality, billing, or security—your cards remain active and usable as before.
Important notes
No additional charges will be incurred.
Your existing cards will continue to work without interruption.
The upgrade improves both usability and compliance with global security standards.
