Alibaba Cloud will update Pay-As-You-Go Products Grace Period for Suspension Policy starting from April 10th, 2025.

Current rules

Update rules

  • Customer will be able to continue to use the Unpaid Alibaba Cloud Product or Service for a further 15 calendar days after the date of Notice.

  • If the payment issue has not been resolved and payment has not been made after the end of the Grace Period, Alibaba Cloud will terminate the Unpaid roduct or Service immediately.

  • Customer will be able to continue to use the Unpaid Alibaba Cloud Product or Service for a further 15 calendar days after the date of Notice.

  • If the payment issue has not been resolved and payment has not been made after the end of the Grace Period, Alibaba Cloud will terminate the Unpaid Product or Service immediately.

  • If customers use Cloud Communication pay-as-you-go products, they are subject to additional protection suspension threshold during the grace period. If a customer's overdue amount exceeds the suspension threshold during the grace period, Cloud Communication pay-as-you-go products will be immediately suspended, while other cloud products will still have the 15-day grace period.

Here is an example using Customer A:

  • Example 1: On January 1, 2025, Customer A enters the grace period due to overdue payment from pay-as-you-go consumption. The customer uses Cloud Communication pay-as-you-go products, and the suspension threshold is $100:

    1. During the grace period, if the customer's overdue amount (for example, $101, meaning available fund is -$101) ≥ suspension threshold, Cloud Communication pay-as-you-go products will be immediately suspended. Other cloud products used by this customer will still retain the 15-day grace period, meaning services can continue until January 15th, 2025. If the customer settles the overdue payment through remittance during the protection period, the customer will resume use of Cloud Communication pay-as-you-go services.

    2. If Customer A consumes Cloud Communication pay-as-you-go products during the grace period, and the overdue amount during the grace period (for example, $90, meaning available fund is -$90) < suspension threshold ($100), the customer's Cloud Communication pay-as-you-go products and other cloud products can retain the 15-day grace period, meaning services can continue until January 15th, 2025.

  • Example 2: Customer A enters the grace period due to overdue payment from pay-as-you-go consumption, but the customer does not use Cloud Communication pay-as-you-go products

    • The customer enjoys a 15-day grace period. If the customer still has not settled the overdue payment by the end of the grace period, all the resources will be suspended immediately.
