A coupon code is a special string of characters that you redeem on the order confirmation page to receive one or more coupons. The coupon then provides a discount on your payment, according to its terms and conditions.
A coupon code is not a direct discount. Redeeming a coupon code gives you a coupon — you then apply that coupon at checkout to reduce your bill. For details on applying coupons, see Use coupons.
Get a coupon code
Get coupon codes only from official Alibaba Cloud channels to ensure their validity:
Official campaign pages — Alibaba Cloud International Website
Email notifications — Sent from official Alibaba Cloud International Website email addresses
Sales — Contact an Alibaba Cloud sales representative
Redeem your coupon code
Coupon codes can only be redeemed when purchasing subscription products.
Go to a product purchase page and select a subscription product, such as a subscription-based ECS or RDS instance. Add it to your shopping cart.
On the shopping cart page, click Buy Now to go to the Confirm Order page.
In the top-right corner of the Confirm Order page, enter your coupon code in the redemption input box and click Redeem.
Coupon codes are case-sensitive.
After a successful redemption, the coupon appears in the Coupon drop-down list on the Confirm Order page.
To view all your coupons, go to Expenses And Costs > Coupons.
Apply your coupon
After redemption, the system automatically selects a coupon for your current order — it picks the applicable coupon that expires soonest. Only one coupon can be applied per order.
If the coupon you just redeemed expires later than another coupon in your account, the system selects the other one instead. Open the Coupon drop-down list on the Confirm Order page to manually select the coupon you want to use.
After selecting a coupon, the system updates the total price to reflect the discount. Confirm the final price and complete your payment.
Limitations
Coupon codes have redemption limits. Review the rules of the corresponding promotion before use.
Coupon codes have an expiration date. Review the expiration date of your coupon code before attempting to redeem it.
Coupon codes have a specific applicable scope. A coupon code may only apply to certain products or billing modes. Review the rules of the corresponding promotion to confirm eligibility.
Only one coupon per order. If you have multiple coupons, select the one you want to apply manually from the Coupon drop-down list.

Why did my coupon code redemption fail?
Check the reason provided by the system prompt. If the issue is not resolved, contact your sales representative for assistance.
Why wasn't my coupon applied automatically?
The system applies the coupon that is both applicable to your order and expiring soonest. If the coupon you just redeemed expires later than another coupon in your account, the system selects the other one.
