What is a redemption voucher
Alibaba Cloud redemption vouchers are credentials that you can use to activate specific configurations of Alibaba Cloud products. These vouchers are primarily sold on the Alibaba Cloud Tmall flagship store.
Each redemption voucher corresponds to a specific product configuration. After you purchase a voucher, you can go to the Redemption Vouchers page within the validity period to activate and use the corresponding cloud product.
Purchase and use redemption vouchers

Purchase a redemption voucher.
You can go to Taobao or Tmall and search for Alibaba Cloud. Then, make your purchase from the Alibaba Cloud Tmall flagship store.

Activate the cloud product.
Redemption vouchers can be redeemed only on the official Alibaba Cloud website. After you activate a cloud product with a voucher, the voucher is considered redeemed and cannot be used again. The activated cloud product becomes effective immediately.

After you complete the purchase, log on to your Alibaba Cloud account. In the Expenses and Costs console, go to the page.

For a valid voucher, click Details in the Actions column.

Select the corresponding product configuration and follow the on-screen instructions to activate the cloud product.

Transfer a redemption voucher to another account
Some redemption vouchers can be transferred. The owner of an unused voucher can transfer it to another Alibaba Cloud user. The recipient can then use the voucher to activate the corresponding cloud product.
If a voucher supports transfers, the owner can transfer it to a specified Alibaba Cloud account. The owner can perform the transfer on the Redemption Vouchers page.
Each voucher has a limited number of transfers. Currently, a voucher can be transferred one or two times, but the exact number varies by voucher. When you transfer a voucher, you must enter the username or account ID of the recipient's Alibaba Cloud account.

Activated pickup vouchers cannot be transferred. Generally, pickup vouchers purchased through special channels or at a discounted price cannot be transferred. The specific terms are subject to the activity rules and the voucher details.

The two parties involved in the transfer are responsible for determining any associated costs. Alibaba Cloud is not involved in the transfer and does not charge any transfer fees.
After a voucher is transferred, take note of the following:

Usage rights: After a voucher is transferred, the original owner can no longer use it. Only the recipient of the voucher can use it.

Validity period: The validity period of a voucher does not change after it is transferred. The validity period is the one that is displayed for the voucher on the official website.

Reversibility: A transfer cannot be reversed, and the voucher cannot be returned to the original owner. Proceed with caution.

Invoices: Alibaba Cloud does not issue invoices for transferred vouchers. If you need an invoice, you must obtain it from the transferor.
Redemption voucher FAQ
How do I check for my voucher after a successful purchase?
The system automatically sends the voucher to your Alibaba Cloud account. You will also receive a text message notification about the purchase. After you receive the text message, you can go to the Redemption Vouchers page to use the voucher.
I already have an Alibaba Cloud account. Can I use it to purchase a redemption voucher?
Yes, you can. You can log on to Tmall with your existing Alibaba Cloud account to purchase a voucher.
Why can't I see the voucher after I log on to the Alibaba Cloud website?
Make sure that the account you use to log on to the Alibaba Cloud website is the same as the Taobao account that you used for the purchase. Note that the first time you log on with a Taobao account, you must confirm the Taobao account authorization logon protocol.
How do I request a refund for a redemption voucher?
Redemption vouchers cannot be refunded or returned.
What is the validity period of a redemption voucher?
The validity period is displayed on the voucher's product page and in the voucher details. If a voucher expires, you can no longer use it to claim the product, and no refund will be issued.
After a successful redemption, can I return or exchange the product?
After a voucher is redeemed for a cloud product, returns and exchanges are subject to the standard procedures on the official Alibaba Cloud website.
Can I request an invoice for a product purchased with a redemption voucher?
After you redeem a voucher, you can issue an invoice on the page in the Expenses and Costs console.
