Expenses and Costs:bill details

The Bill Details page provides the most granular billing information, with each charge listed as a separate record. You can verify usage, prices, and discounts to accurately reconstruct the cost calculation process. The final bill details are issued at 12:00 on the third day of the following month. Data retrieved before this time is for reference only and should not be used for reconciliation.

View detailed spending

On the Bill Details page, you can view detailed spending information for your Alibaba Cloud products, such as resource instances, billable items, list prices, usage, total list prices, and amounts payable. You can filter by statistical dimension and statistical period to view reports with different dimensions.

  1. In the Expenses and Costs console, select Bill Details.

  2. On the Bill Details page, set the data dimensions and query range, and then view the detailed bill data:

    • Customize bill fields: Click the image button to customize the bill fields that are displayed.

    • Export bills: Click the image button to export the bill information. On the Export Record page, download the exported file.

View usage details

To view and analyze the usage of your cloud products, you can navigate to the usage details page and export the usage data by filtering by product name, metering specification, time range, and metering granularity.

  1. In the Expenses and Costs console, select Bill Details.

  2. On the Bill Details page, click View Usage Details.image

  3. On the View Usage Details page, select a period, specify the product information for your query, and then click Export CSV. On the Export Record page, download the exported file.

    • Metering specification: Data that records the usage or status of a resource for an Alibaba Cloud service.

    • Metering granularity: The minimum time unit at which usage is pushed for a metering specification.

Detailed bill (legacy console)

On the detailed bill page, you can view your spending information for Alibaba Cloud products, such as billable items, unit prices, usage, prices, and resource plan deductions. You can also adjust the statistical item and statistical period, and filter and export data.

Data is updated on a T+1 basis and includes unbilled pay-as-you-go data for the current month.

You can filter and view data by the following dimensions:

  • Billing Cycle: The current month by default.

  • Resource Group: You can select a configured resource group to filter the data.

  • Instance Name/ID: You can search for the bill details of a resource using the instance name set in the console or the instance ID.

  • Statistical Item: You can query bill details by billable item, instance, product, account, or cost center.

  • Statistical Period: You can query bill details by billing cycle, day, or detail.

Note

If you log on with a main financial account, you can filter by account to view the data of non-trusteeship linked accounts.

Field descriptions for detailed bills

  • Billing Cycle: The settlement period for a bill, typically a month.

  • Cost Center: The cost center to which the resource belongs.

  • Account: The account for which the bill needs to be settled.

  • Owner Account: The account to which the resource belongs.

  • Product: The cloud products that you purchased, including Alibaba Cloud services and third-party products from Alibaba Cloud Marketplace, such as Elastic Compute Service (ECS).

  • Product Code: The code that corresponds to the product.

  • Product Detail: The specific offering within the purchased cloud product, such as "ECS - Pay-As-You-Go".

  • Product Detail Code: The code that corresponds to the offering.

  • Billing Method: Indicates whether the billing method is subscription or pay-as-you-go.

  • Service Duration: The subscription duration of an order or the billing duration for a pay-as-you-go service.

  • Duration Unit: The unit of measurement for the service duration.

  • Instance ID/Instance Name: The instance ID in the bill is the billing granularity ID, which is not always the same as the cloud resource instance ID. For example, the instance ID in an OSS bill is a combination of region and business type, such as cn-shanghai;standard. The instance name is set by the user in the resource console.

  • Resource Group: The resource group to which the resource belongs, as set in the console.

  • Instance Tags: The tags that are set for a resource in the console. The detailed bill generated for the resource inherits these tags.

Note

Because detailed bills are based on data at the time of billing, adding or modifying instance tags only affects future bill data (bill data is updated after T+1 hours). Historical bill data does not change.

  • Public IP: The public IP address information of the instance or billable item.

  • Private IP: The private IP address information of the instance or billable item.

  • Region: The region information of the instance or billable item.

  • Zone: The zone information where the instance or billable item is located.

  • Billable Item: The specific billable items included in the purchased product or service.

  • Billable Item Code: The code that corresponds to the billable item. Note: This code is unique within an offering but may be repeated across different offerings.

  • Unit Price: The unit price of the product or service.

  • Unit Price Unit: The measurement unit for the unit price of the product or service.

  • Usage: The usage amount of the product or service.

  • Usage Unit: The measurement unit for the usage of the product or service.

  • Resource Plan Deduction: The amount deducted by a resource plan for the product or service.

  • Deducted Amount (including RI): The amount deducted by Reserved Instances (RIs) and other deduction types for the product or service.

  • List Price: The consumption amount calculated based on the product's list price.

  • Discount Amount: The discount amount from contract discounts, official promotional offers, and other sources.

  • Coupon Deduction: The amount deducted using a coupon.

Note

Detailed bill data with a List Price of 0, meaning no actual charges were incurred, is not displayed.

Billing stream (legacy console)

The Billing Stream feature lets you view your consumption billing stream on Alibaba Cloud. By default, it displays the consumption bills for the logged-on account. You can filter by Account/Owner Account to view the consumption bills of non-trusteeship linked accounts.

  1. Log on to the Expenses and Costs console. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Billing Management > Bill Details and go to the Billing Stream tab.

  2. On the Billing Stream page, select a billing cycle, account, and order/bill number, then click Search to view the billing stream data.

  3. Customize columns: On the Billing Stream page, click Customize Columns, select the fields you want to view, and click Save. Customizing columns only affects the fields displayed in the console and does not affect exported reports.

  4. Export billing stream: On the Billing Stream page, click the Export button. Select the content to export and click OK. Then, go to the export records page to download the file.
