Tablestore HBase Client gives your Java applications access to Tablestore through the open source HBase API. Use it alongside Tablestore SDKs and Tablestore RESTful API operations. Migrate your existing Tablestore HBase Client applications to Tablestore without rewriting HBase API calls.
Supported versions
Tablestore HBase Client is built on Tablestore SDK for Java V4.2.x and later. It supports the following open source HBase API versions:
V2.x.x -- compatible with HBase V2.5.10
V1.x.x -- compatible with HBase V1.2.0
Get Tablestore HBase Client
Choose the Tablestore Tablestore HBase Client version that matches the HBase Client version your application uses. V2.x.x and V1.x.x expose different APIs -- pick the version that matches your current setup.
If your application uses HBase Client V2.x.x, choose Tablestore HBase Client V2.x.x.
If your application uses HBase Client V1.x.x, choose Tablestore HBase Client V1.x.x.
If your application uses HBase Client V0.x.x, see How to ensure compatibility with HBase versions earlier than 1.0.

After migration
After migrating data from HBase to Tablestore, you no longer manage HBase Server yourself. Tablestore handles infrastructure tasks including table splitting, compaction, and RegionServer management. Use Tablestore HBase Client directly for all table and data operations.

Billing
Tablestore HBase Client usage is billed for data reads, data writes, and storage. For details, see Billing overview.
API compatibility
Tablestore and HBase have similar data models and features. For API differences between Tablestore HBase Client and native HBase, see Features supported by Tablestore HBase Client.
