To use Tablestore, you must activate Tablestore and create an instance. This topic describes how to activate Tablestore and create an instance.
Activate Tablestore
You need to activate Tablestore only once. If Tablestore is activated, skip this section.
Log on to the product details page.
Click Get it Free.
On the Table Store (Pay-As-You-Go) page, click Buy Now.
On the Confirm Order page, read the agreement carefully, select I have read and agree to Table Store (Pay-As-You-Go) Agreement of Service, and then click Activate Now.
After you activate Tablestore, click Console to go to the Tablestore console.
Create a Tablestore instance
An instance is a logical entity used in Tablestore to manage tables. Each instance is equivalent to a database. After you create an instance, you can manage and perform operations on tables and data in the instance.
Log on to the Tablestore console.
In the top navigation bar, select a resource group and a region and click Create Instance.
In the Billing Method dialog box, specify Instance Name and Instance Type, and then click OK.
After you create an instance, you can click the instance name or Manage Instance to go to the Instance Details tab. You can view information of the instance, such as the instance endpoint and instance name on the Instance Details tab.
By default, Internet-based access is disabled for newly created instances to ensure resource access security. If you want to access a Tablestore instance over the Internet, select Internet for Allowed Network Type on the Network Management tab of the Instance Management page and click Settings to save the configuration.
