STAROps:Supported Regions

Last Updated:Jun 22, 2026

A region is a physical data center location. STAROps supports multiple regions with default selection rules, and you can switch between them as needed.

Supported Regions

STAROps uses a dual-center deployment model and supports the following regions:

Area Region Region ID Default Site
Chinese Mainland China (Beijing) cn-beijing China site
Hong Kong (China), Macao (China), Taiwan (China), and regions outside China Singapore ap-southeast-1 International site

Default Region

  • STAROps console: The China (Beijing) region is selected by default on the China site, and Singapore is selected by default on the international site.

  • CMS 2.0 and SLS console: The STAROps regional center matching your current resource region is selected by default.

Switching Regions

STAROps Console

In the upper-right corner of the STAROps standalone console, click the current region name and select the target region from the drop-down list.

  • Available regions: China (Beijing) and Singapore.

  • When you switch regions for the first time, a dialog box prompts you to sign a cross-border data transfer agreement.

  • If you log in from a different device, you must sign the cross-border data transfer agreement again.

Switching regions causes cross-border data transfer between the STAROps region and the region where your data is stored.

CMS 2.0 and SLS Console

The STAROps regional center matching your current resource region is automatically selected. You cannot switch regions from these consoles.

How to Choose a Region

Consider the following factors when selecting a region:

Factor Recommendation
User location Select the region closest to your users to minimize network latency.
Data compliance requirements If your data must remain within a specific jurisdiction, select the region where your business resources are deployed.
Cloud service integration STAROps accesses data from Cloud Monitor (CMS) and Log Service (SLS). Select the same region where these services are deployed to ensure reliable connectivity.
