An expired resource plan or an overdue account balance can affect STAROps service availability. Learn about the impact of each scenario and how to restore service.
Impact of Resource Plan Expiration
When a resource plan expires, any unused credits are cleared and cannot be refunded or renewed.
| Scenario | Impact |
|---|---|
| Resource plan expires, pay-as-you-go billing remains active | Billing automatically switches to pay-as-you-go. Service availability is not affected. |
When you activate STAROps, pay-as-you-go billing is enabled by default. In most cases, resource plan expiration does not affect service availability.
Impact of Overdue Payments
Pay-as-you-go bills are settled daily. If your Alibaba Cloud account balance is insufficient to cover the outstanding bill, the account enters an overdue state.
| Overdue Duration | Service Status |
|---|---|
| 0–15 days | The service is retained but unavailable. Top up your account and settle the outstanding bill as soon as possible. |
| More than 15 days | Resources are released and STAROps stops, including all AI capabilities such as intelligent sessions and long-running tasks. |
After resources are released, data such as digital employee configurations, long-running task configurations, and historical session records may be permanently deleted. Top up your account within 15 days of the overdue date to avoid data loss.
Overdue Payment Notifications
When an overdue payment is detected, Alibaba Cloud sends notifications through internal messages, SMS, and email. Ensure that the contact information on your Alibaba Cloud account is up to date.
Restoring Service
-
If you top up your account and settle all outstanding bills within 15 days, service is automatically restored. No additional action is required.
-
If resources have already been released, you must reactivate STAROps and reconfigure your digital employees, long-running tasks, and other resources.
