Certificate Management Service:Manage company profiles

Last Updated:Mar 03, 2026

When you apply for an organization validated (OV) or extended validation (EV) certificate, the certificate authority (CA) verifies your organization's identity. A company profile stores your organization's details -- legal name, phone number, address, and other information -- so you can reuse them across multiple certificate applications without re-entering the same data.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure that you have:

Create a company profile

Important

Enter company information that is true and valid. The CA examines this information when validating your certificate application.

You can create a company profile in two ways:

  • From the Company Profile Management page -- Create a profile in advance so it is ready when you submit a certificate application. The following steps use this method.

  • During a certificate application -- Select Create Company Profile from the Company drop-down list on the application form. The system saves the profile automatically for future use.

To create a company profile from the Company Profile Management page:

  1. Log on to the Certificate Management Service console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Comprehensive Management > Company Profile Management.

  3. On the Company Profile Management page, click Create Company Profile.

  4. In the Create Company Profile dialog box, configure the following parameters, and then click OK.

    ParameterDescription
Company NameThe legal name of the company that owns the domain name bound to your certificate. Enter the name exactly as it appears in your business license. For OV certificates bound to a .gov domain, the registrant contact information in the Whois database must match this name.
DepartmentThe department applying for the certificate.
Company PhoneThe landline number of the company. Do not enter a personal mobile phone number.
Organization CodeThe organization code or unified social credit code. For companies outside the Chinese mainland, add the country code before the organization code.
Company RegionThe region and street where the company is located.
Detailed AddressThe full street address as specified in your business license.
Postal CodeThe postal code of the company.

After the profile is created, it appears on the Company Profile Management page. Confirm that the details are correct before using the profile in a certificate application.

Modify a company profile

  1. On the Company Profile Management page, find the target profile.

  2. In the Actions column, click Edit.

  3. In the Company Information dialog box, update the information and click OK.

  2. In the Actions column, click Delete.

  3. In the Note message, click Delete to confirm.
