Certificate Management Service:Enable certificate hosting

After you enable certificate hosting, the system automatically applies for and deploys a new certificate before the current one expires.

Overview

How hosting is enabled depends on the certificate type. Some certificates are hosted automatically upon creation or issuance; others require manual enablement.

Hosting is automatically enabled when you create a certificate.

Uploaded Certificates

Not supported

Hosting is not supported for uploaded certificates. To use hosting, replace the uploaded certificate by purchasing or renewing a commercial certificate from Alibaba Cloud. Renew or handle an expiring SSL certificate. To purchase a certificate, see Purchase a commercial certificate.

Commercial certificates

SSL Certificate Management V2.0

To enable hosting for certificates in SSL Certificate Management V2.0:

  1. Log on to the Certificate Management Service console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Certificate Management > SSL Certificate Management V2.0. Then, click the Commercial Certificates tab.

  3. Find the target certificate and click Enable Auto-Management in the Actions column.

For certificates in SSL Certificate Management(V1.0 - Discontinued), hosting is automatically enabled at creation. Create a certificate.

SSL Certificate Management V2.0

To view hosting status for certificates in SSL Certificate Management V2.0:

  1. Log on to the Certificate Management Service console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Certificate Management > SSL Certificate Management V2.0.

  3. Click the tab that corresponds to your certificate type: Commercial Certificates or Uploaded Certificates.

  4. Find the target certificate and check the Subscription Period column. If the Auto-Managed tag is displayed, certificate hosting is enabled.

To view hosting status for certificates in SSL Certificate Management(V1.0 - Discontinued):

  1. Log on to the Certificate Management Service console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Certificate Management > SSL Certificate Management(V1.0 - Discontinued).

  3. Click the Commercial Certificates tab.

  4. Find the target certificate and check the Status column. A status of Hosted indicates that certificate hosting is enabled.
