This topic describes the pricing of Alibaba Cloud Short Message Service (SMS).
Important Alibaba Cloud SMS reserves the right to adjust the prices of resource packages in response to changes in carrier charges. Customers who use the pay-as-you-go billing method are given written notice five days before the prices are changed.
Resource packages
To send messages, you require an active resource package. A resource package lets you send a predefined number of messages. Aside from the Global Plus and Global packages, resource packages are country- and region-specific. You can view the prices of resource packages on the buy page.
Important
- When you reach the message limit of your resource package, you will no longer be able to send messages until you purchase a new resource package. To avoid business interruptions, you can choose to use the pay-as-you-go billing method. For more information, contact sales support.
- Sales of resource packages are final, and no refunds are provided.
- If your Alibaba Cloud account has overdue payments, your resource package is suspended until the overdue payments are settled.
- Each resource package is valid for 180 days. Any unused messages are forfeited and no refunds are provided.
Global Plus package
You can use the Global Plus package to send messages to recipients in more than 200 countries and regions.
Global package
You cannot use the Global package to send messages to recipients in the following countries or regions: Tajikistan, Martinique, Palestine, Algeria, Tunisia, Mauritania, Jordan, Armenia, Nepal, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Libya, Indonesia, Bulgaria, Afghanistan, Cook Islands, French Guiana, Chad, Nigeria, Finland, Guadeloupe, Polynesia, Israel, Germany, Mali, Luxembourg, Mongolia, Ghana, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, Iraq, Kuwait, and Egypt. - The default payment method for Alibaba Cloud SMS is through the use of resource packages. If you want to use the pay-as-you-go billing method, contact sales support.

Alibaba Cloud SMS allows you to send messages to more than 200 countries and regions across the world. The unit price of each message varies with the country or region.

Billing rules
- Bills are updated in real time. On the first day of each month, the bill of the previous month is generated. Alibaba Cloud automatically offsets the quota from a resource package or your Alibaba Cloud account. Then, you can apply for an invoice for the bill.
- Messages are billed after they are submitted. Even if a message fails to be delivered, you are still charged for the message.
Overdue payments
If the balance of your Alibaba Cloud account (including coupons) is less than the payable amount on your bill, the bill is overdue. If you have overdue bills, you cannot send messages.
Bills
Log on to the SMS console. In the left-side navigation pane, choose . On the Financial Report page, you can view prepaid bills and postpaid bills on the Billing tab and the Resource Package Statistics tab.
