Dear Alibaba Cloud SMS users:
To enhance service stability and optimize resource allocation, we will adjust the Queries Per Second (QPS) limit policies for International SMS. The new policy establishes independent QPS limits based on the payment method (SMS packages or pay-as-you-go).
1. Adjustment details
For users that use SMS packages for deduction, the QPS limit for a single Alibaba Cloud account will be adjusted to 30.
For users that choose the pay-as-you-go billing method, the QPS limit for a single Alibaba Cloud account will be adjusted to 2,000.
2. Note
An Alibaba Cloud account and its RAM users share the QPS limit.
The QPS limit applies to the combined total of both API and console requests.
3. Effective time and scope
Effective time: June 1, 2025, 18:00 (UTC+8)
Scope of impact: applies only to International SMS (excluding Chinese mainland destinations).
