CloudLens for SLS lets you monitor and manage Log Service assets such as Projects and Logstores. This improves management efficiency and provides insights into resource consumption. This topic explains how to monitor Log Service with CloudLens for SLS.
Background information
After you enable CloudLens for SLS, Simple Log Service (SLS) automatically collects global logs (audit logs, error logs, and metrics) and operational logs (including important instance logs and job run logs). These logs are collected free of charge.
-
When you enable CloudLens for SLS for the first time, global logs are stored in a Project named
log-service-{Alibaba Cloud account ID}-{region}, whereregionis the global log storage region that you select when you enable CloudLens for SLS. Operational logs are stored in a Project namedlog-service-{Alibaba Cloud account ID}-{region}, whereregionis the region where the Project is located. For a list of supportedregions, see Usage notes.ImportantIf you delete the Project that stores operational logs, a new one is automatically created.
-
If you have already enabled CloudLens for SLS, your existing region and Project settings are used by default.
This topic uses the example of an exceeded Project quota to demonstrate how to use CloudLens for SLS. For more information, see Before you use CloudLens for SLS.
Step 1: Enable CloudLens for SLS
- Log on to the Log Service console.
-
In the Log Application section, on the Cloud Product Lens tab, click CloudLens for SLS.

Step 2: View monitoring results
After you enable log collection, Log Service automatically generates dashboards from the collected logs.
2.1 View project quotas
