    Simple Log Service:Platform operation logs

    The Inner-ActionTrail feature, jointly provided by Simple Log Service and ActionTrail, enables real-time collection, querying, analysis, transformation, and consumption of platform operation logs to meet your analysis and auditing needs.

    Note

    The Inner-ActionTrail feature collects platform operation logs from Object Storage Service (OSS), Elastic Compute Service (ECS), ApsaraDB RDS, Container Service for Kubernetes (ACK), and E-MapReduce.

    Assets

    • Custom Project and LogStore

      • The indexing feature is enabled by default for the LogStore, and indexes are pre-configured for some fields.

      • By default, logs are stored permanently in the LogStore. You can also change the data storage duration. For more information, see Manage a LogStore.

      Important

      • Do not delete the Project and LogStore associated with platform operation logs. Otherwise, Simple Log Service can no longer collect the logs.

      • When you create a custom LogStore, billable items are generated based on the selected billing mode. For more information, see Billable items.

    • Dedicated dashboard

      By default, one dashboard is generated.

      Note

      We recommend that you do not modify the dedicated dashboard because it may be upgraded or updated at any time. To visualize query results, create a custom dashboard instead. For more information, see Create a dashboard.

      Description

      Displays real-time details of operations on cloud resources, including page views (PVs), unique visitors (UVs), source service counts, event source distribution, and PV/UV trends.

    Billing

    • The platform operation log feature is available in ActionTrail at no additional cost.

    • If the LogStore uses the pay-by-feature billing mode, you are charged by Simple Log Service for data storage, read traffic, requests, data transformation, and data shipping after ActionTrail delivers the platform operation logs. For more information, see Billable items for the pay-by-feature mode.

    • If the LogStore uses the pay-by-ingested-data billing mode, you are charged by Simple Log Service based on the raw data ingested after ActionTrail delivers the platform operation logs. For more information, see Billable items for the pay-by-ingested-data mode.

    Limits

    • To use the Inner-ActionTrail feature, you must submit a ticket or contact your Alibaba Cloud sales manager to obtain the required permissions.

    • Simple Log Service must be activated and have no overdue payments.

    • All platform operation logs can be delivered to only one LogStore.

    • The dedicated LogStore cannot be used to write other data. However, no special limits apply to features such as querying, statistics, alerting, and consumption.

    • You cannot change the data storage duration of the LogStore.
