Simple Log Service does not support deleting logs directly. To delete logs, you can modify the data retention period of a Logstore. Logs are automatically deleted after their retention period expires. This topic describes how to modify the data retention period of a Logstore.
Procedure
Log on to the Simple Log Service console.
In the Projects section, click the one you want.
On the Log Storage > Logstores tab, hover over the target Logstore and select
> Modify.
On the Logstore Attributes page, click Modify.
Modify Data Retention Period and click Save.
Logs are deleted after their retention period ends.
ImportantIf you shorten the data retention period, Simple Log Service deletes all expired data within 1 hour. For example, if you change the data retention period from 5 days to 1 day, Simple Log Service deletes the logs of the previous four days within 1 hour.
Logs cannot be restored after they are deleted. Proceed with caution.
