The log delivery feature pushes historical configuration changes, noncompliant resource events, and scheduled snapshots from CloudConfig to Simple Log Service for storage, query, and analysis. This topic describes the assets and billing for this feature.

Custom project and Logstore
ImportantDo not delete the associated Simple Log Service project or Logstore before deleting the shipping task. Deleting the project or Logstore stops log delivery.
When you create a custom Logstore, billable items depend on the billing method of the Logstore. For more information, see Billable items.

Dedicated dashboard
There is no dedicated dashboard. You can create custom dashboards as needed.
Billing
The log delivery feature itself is free. CloudConfig does not charge for delivering logs to Simple Log Service.
If the Logstore uses pay-by-feature billing, Simple Log Service charges for storage space, read traffic, request count, data transformation, and data shipping. For more information, see Billable items of pay-by-feature.
If the Logstore uses pay-by-ingested-data billing, Simple Log Service charges based on the volume of raw data ingested. For more information, see Billable items of pay-by-ingested-data.
