Server Load Balancer:CLB scheduled O&M events

Last Updated:Apr 30, 2026

Classic Load Balancer (CLB) supports scheduled O&M events. You can manually adjust the O&M time and create a response plan based on the event's potential impact to minimize service disruption.

Procedure

A scheduled O&M event for a Classic Load Balancer (CLB) instance is a planned update, maintenance, or network migration that affects your instance. Alibaba Cloud notifies you about such events in advance.

You can use this notification to create a response plan or adjust the scheduled O&M time to align with your business needs.

Note

Currently, scheduled O&M events for CLB are supported only in the following regions: China (Hangzhou), China (Shanghai), China (Hong Kong), and US (Virginia).

  1. Log on to the CLB console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose CLB > Scheduled O&M Events.

  3. On the Scheduled O&M Events page, you can view Pending, Completed, or Canceled events, and modify their scheduled O&M time.

    Event type

    Description

    Actions

    Pending

An event that is scheduled but has not yet started.

    • Scheduled O&M Time: The time scheduled for the O&M change. If you do not modify this time, the switchover occurs at this time.

To modify the time for a single event, click Modify Scheduled O&M Time in the Actions column. To modify the time for multiple events, select the events, click Modify Scheduled O&M Time at the bottom of the page, and then click OK. The system then performs the O&M event at your specified time.

    • Latest Changeable Time: The deadline for modifying the event schedule.

      Note
      • After modifying the Scheduled O&M Time, the system performs the switchover at or after the new time that you set.

      • The Scheduled O&M Time cannot be later than the Latest Changeable Time.

    • Cancel a pending event: To cancel a single event, click Cancel in the Actions column. To cancel multiple events, select them and click Cancel at the bottom of the page. After an event is canceled, its status changes to Canceled. You can restore a canceled event on the Canceled tab.

    Completed

An event whose scheduled O&M task is complete.

    • Original Scheduled O&M Time: The scheduled time for the original O&M event. The O&M switchover operation is performed after the time point that you set as the Original Scheduled O&M Time.

    • Actual Switchover Time: The time the switchover occurred.

    Canceled

An event canceled by a user or due to an O&M change failure.

    • Scheduled Cancelation Time: The time when the event was canceled by a user or when the O&M change failed.

    • Cause of Cancelation:

      • Canceled by customer: The user canceled the event.

        Note

If an event was manually canceled and its Latest Changeable Time has not passed, you can restore it. To restore a single event, click Restore in the Actions column. To restore multiple events, select them and click Restore at the bottom of the page. After an event is restored, its status changes back to Pending.

      • O&M change failure: The event was automatically canceled because the scheduled O&M change failed.
