MSTSC (Microsoft Terminal Services Client) is a remote desktop connection tool included with the Windows operating system. If your local host runs Windows, you can use MSTSC to transfer files between the local host and a Windows server.
Prerequisites
The Windows server is in the Running status.
Make sure that port
3389is allowed on the Windows server. Port3389is allowed by default after the server is created. For more information, see Firewall settings.
Procedure
To upload or download large files or many files, we recommend that you compress the files before uploading them to improve transfer efficiency.
Step 1: Remotely connect to the server
On your local Windows computer, press the Win+R composite key to open the Run window. Enter
mstscand press Enter to open the Remote Desktop Connection dialog box.In the Remote Desktop Connection dialog box, click Show Options.

On the General tab, configure the following parameters.
Computer (C): Enter the public IP address of the Windows server.
NoteUser Name: Enter the username. The default username is Administrator.
On the Local Resources tab, select Clipboard and click More.

In the Drives section, select the drive that contains the files you want to transfer, and then click OK.

Click Connect to remotely connect to the Windows server.
Step 2: Upload or download files
After you connect to the Windows server, you can view your local disk drives in This PC. You can double-click a drive to access it. Then, you can upload files from your local computer to the server or download files from the server to your local computer.
Double-click the mapped local drive in the instance.

Upload files to the server
The following example shows how to upload a file to the desktop of the Windows server. You can also press Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V to copy files between your local Windows computer and the Windows server.

Download files from the server to your local computer
The following example shows how to download a file from the desktop of the Windows server. You can also press Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V to copy files between your local Windows computer and the Windows server.
