Simple Application Server:Quota management of Simple Application Server

Last Updated:Jul 04, 2025

Quotas define the maximum number of cloud resources that an Alibaba Cloud account can use or operations that an Alibaba Cloud account can perform. In the Quota Center console, you can view the quotas and usage of Simple Application Server, request quota increases, and set quota usage alerts based on your business needs. This topic describes how to manage instance quotas and API rate quotas of Simple Application Server.

View or increase instance quotas

Instance quotas limit the maximum number of simple application servers that a single Alibaba Cloud account can retain in a specific region.

  1. Go to the General Quotas of Simple Application Server page and select the region for which you want to view the quota.

  2. In the general quota list, view the quota or request a quota increase.

      2. In the Apply for Quotas dialog box, configure the parameters.

        • Applied Quota: If first time you request an instance quota increase, the valid range is 51 to 1000. For subsequent requests, the valid range is the current quota plus 1 to 1000.

        • Reason: Enter a logical request reason.

        • Notify Result: Keep the default value Yes. The quota request result will be sent to you through a text message and an email.

      3. Click OK.

      4. Check the approval status.

After you submit a quota increase request, the approval process takes approximately 5 minutes. Wait patiently.

        • By using the Quota Center console

In the Actions column of the general quota list, select image > Application Records to view the approval status of your general quota increase request. If the status is Approved, the quota increase is successful.

View API rate quotas

API rate quotas limit the rates at which you call API operations. For example, the quota for CreateInstances is 50/60(s). API rate quotas of Simple Application Server include API (version 2020-06-01) rate limits for resources such as instances, firewalls, and snapshots.

Note

Quota increase requests are not supported.

  1. Go to the API Rate Limits of Simple Application Server page and select the region for the quota.

  2. View the quota in the API Rate Limits list. The value in the Total Quotas column is the rate limit for the API.

    Note

You can enter an API name in the Keyword field to filter and view quotas.
