This topic describes how to enable a tenant organization of customer relationship management (CRM) of Salesforce on Alibaba Cloud and how to check whether the stock keeping unit (SKU) authorization of the enabled tenant organization takes effect.
Submit a request
Before you enable a tenant organization of CRM of Salesforce on Alibaba Cloud, you must contact Alibaba Cloud sales representatives for technical support. Before the consultation, you must create an Alibaba Cloud account and complete real-name verification. To submit a request, go to the product page of Salesforce on Alibaba Cloud and click Contact Sales. Log on with your Alibaba Cloud account and enter the required information to submit your request.
After the request is received, an Alibaba Cloud sales representative contacts you and instructs you to enable a tenant organization of CRM of Salesforce on Alibaba Cloud.
Enable a tenant organization and log on to CRM of Salesforce on Alibaba Cloud for the first time
After you place an order and complete the payment, an Alibaba Cloud product operations engineer creates a tenant organization for you based on the effective time specified in the master service agreement (MSA) of your order.
After a tenant organization is created, an email for enabling the tenant organization is sent to the administrator of your tenant organization. The email address of the sender is support@email.sfcrmproducts.cn, and the title of the email is "Welcome to Salesforce: Verify your account." You can click the Verify Account button in the email to set the logon password of the tenant organization administrator. After the password is set, you can log on to CRM of Salesforce on Alibaba Cloud as the tenant organization administrator. In this case, the SKU authorization of the enabled tenant organization may not be activated.
Note:
After you click the Verify Account button, you may be navigated to the user logon page of your tenant organization instead of the password setting page of the tenant organization administrator. This is because the email security software that you deploy performs a security scan on the email that you receive for enabling the tenant organization. As a result, the URL in the email becomes invalid.
If the issue occurs, submit a ticket. After you submit a ticket in the Alibaba Cloud ticket system, a technical support engineer helps you reset the password of the tenant organization administrator.
Check whether the SKU authorization takes effect
After a tenant organization is enabled or if you need to renew the SKU authorization of an existing tenant organization, an Alibaba Cloud product operations engineer adds the corresponding SKU authorization for your tenant organization based on the effective time specified in the MSA of your order.
You can log on to CRM of Salesforce on Alibaba Cloud as the tenant organization administrator and perform the following steps to check whether the corresponding SKU authorization takes effect:
Click the Settings icon in the upper-right corner and select Setup.
In the search box of the Setup page, enter Company Info. Click Company Information in the search results.
In the User Licenses, Permission Set Licenses, and Feature Licenses sections, check the following items:
Check whether the number of total licenses that correspond to the SKU authorization is the same as the number of total licenses in the new order.
Check whether the expiration time of the SKU authorization is the same as the expiration time in the new order.
If you renew the SKU authorization of an existing tenant organization, you may find that the SKU authorization of the existing order and that of the new order take effect at the same time one day before the effective time specified in the MSA of the new order. This is normal. In most cases, the SKU authorization of the existing order expires after 24 hours. Then, the SKU authorization of the new order continues to take effect from the effective time.
