This topic describes the known product and feature differences of Salesforce on Alibaba Cloud Summer '24 Release.
Background information
Our product goal is to align Salesforce on Alibaba Cloud with Salesforce elsewhere in the world, as compliance allows. However, a small number of feature differences exist because of technical or regulatory reasons.
Technical, regulatory, and other factors change over time. Therefore, this topic describes the product and feature differences at the current point in time and will be iteratively updated.
Salesforce on Alibaba Cloud is available in two editions: CN Edition and CN Developer Edition. The former is widely used in the customer business and production in various industries. The latter provides a tenant environment for ISV partners of Salesforce on Alibaba Cloud to develop and test products or solutions. Both editions provide Salesforce applications tailored to meet local compliance and unique market needs in China. The CN Edition has the same limits and quotas, such as those for storage and APIs, as the Unlimited Edition of global Salesforce. However, some features that restrict transfers or require cross-border connections are disabled by default. In addition, some features are subject to the product roadmap and may be available in future releases. Salesforce on Alibaba Cloud Customer Relationship Management (CRM) follows the same schedule of three major releases per year as Salesforce CRM elsewhere in the world.
Salesforce Health Cloud is added in this Summer Release. This is the first time that Alibaba Cloud and Salesforce have jointly launched an industry cloud product in China. For more information, see Salesforce on Alibaba Cloud - Health Cloud.
