Introduction
Our goal is for Salesforce on Alibaba Cloud to offer the same features as the global version. However, some differences exist due to technical, contractual, regulatory, and legal reasons. This document describes the current product differences and will be updated as technical and regulatory factors change.
Salesforce on Alibaba Cloud offers four editions. The CN Unlimited Edition (CN UE), CN Enterprise Edition (CN EE), and CN Professional Edition (CN PE) are for production use, while the CN Developer Edition (CN Developer) is for application development. All editions are Salesforce applications customized for the Chinese market to meet local compliance requirements. For example, the CN editions have the same limits and allocations for storage and APIs as the global Salesforce versions. However, some features that require additional network configuration and connectivity are disabled by default. Salesforce on Alibaba Cloud is accessible from the internet and provides the same API support as the global Salesforce version, with some exceptions noted in this document.
Data in Salesforce on Alibaba Cloud data centers is not replicated to Salesforce's global data centers. Alibaba Cloud manages and supports these services in China, and Salesforce does not have access to the data or tenants. Some features will be available in future releases based on the product roadmap. Salesforce CRM on Alibaba Cloud follows the same schedule of three major releases per year as Salesforce CRM in other regions.

OmniScript and OmniStudio Runtime are also available in Salesforce on Alibaba Cloud and can be deployed using Salesforce developer tools.
Alibaba Cloud does not support Data Cloud, Data Processing Engine, or CRM Analytics.
Automotive Cloud
Automotive Cloud offers features such as Vehicle Console, Driver Console, Lead Management, Actionable Resource Center, Households, Stakeholder Management, Partner Performance Management, Dealer Visits, Inventory Management, Warranty Lifecycle Management, and Fleet Management.
Features that rely on CRM Analytics, Data Processing Engine, Data Cloud, Financial Services Cloud, or Field Service are not supported. This includes Field Service features such as labor estimation and timesheet management.
Because Salesforce on Alibaba Cloud does not offer Einstein for Automotive Cloud, some related features are not currently available.
The advanced Inventory search and Asset search features are temporarily unavailable because they rely on the Data Processing Engine feature.
Channel Revenue Management and Digital Lending are currently unavailable.
The Connected Vehicle product is currently unavailable.
Salesforce Scheduler
Data Integration Rules for Salesforce Scheduler explains how the following features depend on the Geocoding feature.
Service Appointment: Enables the data integration rule for geocoding service appointment addresses.
Service Territory: Enables the data integration rule for geocoding service territory addresses.
Resource Absence: Enables the data integration rule for geocoding resource absence addresses.
Service Territory Member: Enables the data integration rule for geocoding service territory member addresses.
Geocoding services and location service features require integration with external map solutions, which are unavailable in Salesforce on Alibaba Cloud. As a result, developers must write a flow to skip the Service Territory selection screen. For more information, see the help document.
Salesforce Domain Names on Alibaba Cloud
To ensure your Salesforce applications function correctly, you must whitelist certain domain names. For more information, see this Salesforce Help article.

Although Salesforce Customer 360 Data Manager is not available on Salesforce on Alibaba Cloud as of the Summer '26 release, this document provides the relevant domain names for future use.
Setup Domain (my-domain.setup.sfcrmproducts.cn) is enabled in the Winter '25 release and resolves the issue of third-party cookies being blocked in some browsers.

Automotive Cloud supports features such as Vehicle Console, Driver Console, Lead Management, Actionable Resource Center, Households, Stakeholder Management, Partner Performance Management, Dealer Visits, Inventory Management, Warranty Lifecycle Management, and Fleet Management.
Features that rely on CRM Analytics, Data Processing Engine, Data Cloud, Financial Services Cloud, or Field Service are not supported. Field Service features, such as labor estimation or timesheet management, are not supported.
The Einstein for Automotive Cloud product is not available on Salesforce on Alibaba Cloud. Therefore, some related features are not available.
Advanced search relies on the Data Processing Engine feature. Therefore, the advanced Inventory search and Asset search features are not available.
Channel Revenue Management and Digital Lending are not available.
The Connected Vehicle product is not available.
Salesforce Scheduler
The Data Integration Rules for Salesforce Scheduler lists the following dependencies on the Geocoding service.
The geocoding feature is enabled for the following objects:
Service appointments are geocoded using the Geocodes for Service Appointment Address data integration rule.
Service Territory: Enables the Geocodes for Service Territory Address data integration rule.
Resource Absences uses the Geocodes for Resource Absence Address data integration rule.
Service Territory Member: Enables the Geocodes for Service Territory Member Address data integration rule.
These geocoding and location services require integration with external mapping solutions, which are unavailable in China. Therefore, developers should write flows that skip the Service Territory selection screen, as described in the help documentation.
Domains for Salesforce on Alibaba Cloud
In instances managed by Salesforce, certain domains must be allow-listed for the app to function fully. This is detailed in the following Salesforce Help article.
