ApsaraDB for SelectDB:Reset the admin password of an instance

Reset the admin user's password if you forgot it or need to update it. When you create an ApsaraDB for SelectDB instance, the system automatically creates an admin user that you use to connect to the instance.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure that you have:

Reset the admin password

  1. Log on to the ApsaraDB for SelectDB console.

  2. In the top navigation bar, select the region where your instance resides.

  3. In the left-side navigation pane, click Instances. On the Instances page, find the instance and click its ID. The Instance Details page appears.

  4. In the upper-right corner of the Instance Details page, click Reset Password.

  5. In the Reset Password dialog box, enter a new password that meets all of the following requirements:

    Requirement Details
    Length 8–32 characters
    Character types At least three of: uppercase letters, lowercase letters, digits, and special characters
    Special characters ! @ # $ % ^ & * ( ) _ + - =
  6. Click OK.
