The fees in this topic are for reference only. The actual fees are shown on your bill.
The following regions have only a single zone. If the zone fails, there is a risk of data loss. Therefore, these regions are hidden by default. To use one of these regions, you must submit a ticket and provide your Alibaba Cloud account ID.

If you request a public endpoint and use it to connect to your ApsaraDB for SelectDB instance, Internet traffic is generated. Currently, the Internet traffic (inbound and outbound) generated when you connect to your ApsaraDB for SelectDB instance through a public endpoint is free of charge. For more information, see Request and release a public endpoint.
Computing resources
A Compute Capacity Unit (CCU) is a computing resource used to process service requests. Instance performance is directly proportional to the selected computing resource specifications. 1 CCU is equivalent to 1 vCPU and 4 GB of memory.

Cache space
Cache space stores hot data to accelerate data access. The minimum and maximum cache sizes depend on the selected computing resource specifications.

Storage resources
Storage resources store full data. By default, storage resources use the pay-as-you-go billing method. You are billed hourly based on your actual storage usage.If you can estimate the storage usage of your instance, you can purchase a storage plan in advance to offset pay-as-you-go bills. This reduces the unit storage cost by about 45%. For more information about storage plans, see Storage plans.

You purchase a subscription instance for one month in the Singapore region. The instance has 4 CCUs (4 vCPUs and 16 GB of memory) and 200 GB of cache space. Assume the instance stores an average of 500 GB of data during this month. The total monthly fee is USD 192.00. The fees are calculated as follows:
Computing resource fee: USD 36.980/CCU/month × 4 CCUs × 1 month = USD 147.92.
Cache space fee: USD 0.152/GB/month × 200 GB × 1 month = USD 30.40.
Storage resource fee: USD 0.000038/GB/hour × 500 GB × 30 days × 24 hours = USD 13.68.
Pay-as-you-go
You purchase a pay-as-you-go instance in the Singapore region and use it for one hour. The instance has 4 CCUs (4 vCPUs and 16 GB of memory) and 200 GB of cache space. Assume the instance stores an average of 500 GB of data during this hour. The total hourly fee is USD 0.347. The fees are calculated as follows:
Computing resource fee: USD 0.069170/CCU/hour × 4 CCUs × 1 hour = USD 0.277.
Cache space fee: USD 0.000253/GB/hour × 200 GB × 1 hour = USD 0.051.
