Delete a cluster from an ApsaraDB for SelectDB instance when you no longer need it.
Deleting a cluster permanently removes all cached data on that cluster. Stored data is retained.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, make sure that:
The SelectDB instance is in the Running state
The cluster is in the Running or Suspended state
A default cluster is configured for the instance. For instructions, see Specify a default cluster for a user
Constraints
Each SelectDB instance must retain at least one cluster of the same billing method:
If the instance is pay-as-you-go and only one pay-as-you-go cluster exists, you cannot delete it.
If the instance is subscription and only one subscription cluster exists, you cannot delete it.
Billing impact
| Billing method | What happens on deletion |
|---|---|
| Subscription | Alibaba Cloud refunds the amount for the remaining days before the instance expires to your original payment method. |
| Pay-as-you-go | The cluster is released and you are no longer charged for the cluster. |
