Alibaba Cloud decides to add Alibaba Cloud SDK V1.0 for Golang to the end-of-support plan due to various historical reasons and policy changes. Alibaba Cloud SDK V2.0 for Golang has been officially available for more than four years. According to the Alibaba Cloud SDK support policies, support for Alibaba Cloud SDK V1.0 for Golang will end on March 1, 2025.
Existing applications that use Alibaba Cloud SDK V1.0 for Golang will continue to run as expected. During the period from October 1, 2024 to March 1, 2025, Alibaba Cloud SDK V1.0 for Golang will continue to receive regular updates for API operations and services. After March 1, 2025, Alibaba Cloud SDK V1.0 for Golang will receive only critical bug fixes and security patches. New cloud services, API operations, and features will not be added to Alibaba Cloud SDK V1.0 for Golang after this date.
The following table describes the support status in each stage of the SDK lifecycle.

| March 1, 2025 | N/A | The SDK will no longer receive updates or releases. Users can still use the public package manager to obtain previous releases. The source code is available on GitHub. |
We recommend that you migrate to Alibaba Cloud SDK V2.0 for Golang, which provides optimized features, enhanced performance, and ongoing support from Alibaba Cloud. By using the latest SDK, developers can ensure the security, compatibility, and stability of their solutions on Alibaba Cloud and gain access to the latest services of Alibaba Cloud.

What does end-of-support mean?
After the end-of-support, Alibaba Cloud SDK V1.0 for Golang no longer supports new cloud services, API operations, or features. If you still use Alibaba Cloud SDK V1.0 for Golang, new services or API operations may become unavailable.
