You can view the monitoring data of a Smart Access Gateway (SAG) instance in the SAG console, such as traffic, data packets, network latency, dropped bandwidth of WAN ports, bandwidth for application acceleration, and deep packet inspection (DPI) statistics.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the SAG console.
  2. In the top navigation bar, select the region where the SAG instance is deployed.
  3. On the Smart Access Gateway page, click the ID of the SAG instance.
  4. On the instance details page, click the Monitoring tab to view the following monitoring metrics.
You can select 1 hour, 3 hours, 6 hours, or 12 hours, or specify a custom time period. The following table describes the monitoring metrics.
    Monitoring metric Description
    Data Transfer to Cloud
    Data Transfer Including:
    • Inbound bandwidth (bit/s): data transferred per second from external networks to the SAG device.
    • Outbound bandwidth (bit/s): data transferred per second from the SAG device to external networks.
    Packets Including:
    • Inbound packet rate (packet/s): the number of packets that the SAG device receives per second.
    • Outbound packet rate (packet/s): the number of packets that are transferred from the SAG device per second.
    Packet Loss Including:
    • Rate of inbound packets dropped (packet/s): the number of dropped packets that are transferred to the SAG device per second.
    • Rate of outbound packets dropped (packet/s): the number of dropped packets that are transferred from the SAG device per second.
    Probe
Probe Packet Loss Probe packet loss (packet/s): the number of packets dropped per second in the probe.
Probe Latency Probe latency (ms): the response delay detected by the probe.
    WAN Bandwidth
    Bandwidth of WAN Port Including:
    • Inbound bandwidth (bit/s): the bandwidth used by the WAN port to transfer data from external networks to the SAG device.
    • Outbound bandwidth (bit/s): the bandwidth used by the WAN port to transfer data from the SAG device to external networks.
Forwarding Rate of WAN Port Including:
    • Inbound packet rate (packet/s): the number of packets forwarded by the WAN port from external networks to the SAG device.
    • Outbound packet rate (packet/s): the number of packets forwarded by the WAN port from the SAG device to external networks.
    Application Acceleration Bandwidth
Bandwidth of Application Acceleration Bandwidth Plan for SAG Instance Including:
    • Inbound bandwidth (bit/s): the bandwidth used when the client uses the application acceleration plan associated with the SAG instance to access the destination application.
    • Outbound bandwidth (bit/s): the bandwidth used when the destination application uses the application acceleration plan associated with the SAG instance to return data to the client.
Data Transfer of Application Acceleration Bandwidth Plan for SAG Instance Including:
    • Inbound traffic (bytes): the amount of data transferred when the client uses the application acceleration plan associated with the SAG instance to access the destination application.
    • Outbound traffic (bytes): the amount of data transferred when the destination application uses the application acceleration plan associated with the SAG instance to return data to the client.
Packets Dropped of Application Acceleration Bandwidth Plan for SAG Instance Rate of packets dropped (packet/s): the number of packets dropped due to throttling when the client uses the application acceleration plan associated with the SAG instance to access the destination application.
    DPI Statistics by Application
DPI Statistics by Application Group By default, the system displays the proportion of the traffic of each application group to the total traffic.
DPI Statistics by Application By default, the system displays the proportion of the traffic of each application to the total traffic.
DPI Statistics by Request Source By default, the system displays the proportion of the traffic of each request source to the total traffic.
