Add a device to associate a Smart Access Gateway (SAG) device with an SAG instance. You can then configure and manage the device in the Smart Access Gateway console.
Procedure
- Log on to the Smart Access Gateway console.
- Navigate to the Device Settings page in one of the following ways:
- Click the ID of the target SAG instance. On the instance details page, click Device Settings.
- Find the target SAG instance and in the Operation column, choose .
Note If the SAG instance has no associated devices, you are prompted to add an active device when you open the Device Settings page. - On the Device Settings page, enter the serial number for the active device.
Select a hardware type.
- Click Add Device .
- After you add the active device, click Add Standby Device on the Device Settings page to add a standby device.
Note
- You must add an active device before you can add a standby device.
- Each SAG instance supports up to two SAG devices.
- On the Add Standby Device page, enter the serial number of the second SAG device.
The hardware type is automatically set to
sag-1000. - Click OK.
After the devices are successfully added, you can see the following results:
The Device Management page displays tabs for the active and standby devices, with the active device selected by default. The page includes the Remove Device, Update Version, Remote Logon, and Refresh buttons. The navigation pane on the left includes Device Information, Port Role Assignment, WAN Management, Leased Line Management, LAN Management, HA Management, Route Management, and Management Port Configuration. The Device Information area on the right shows the current version is 2.0.8 and the hardware type is sag-1000.
