This topic describes how to use agents and manage their lifecycles. Microservices governance agents provide real-time monitoring and fault detection capabilities and offer suggestions on performance optimization based on the monitoring data.
Agent overview
An agent is a tool used in microservices governance to monitor service status, performance, and health. Agents automatically collect and report data, helping O&M teams identify potential issues and optimize system performance.
Java agent versions
For feature iterations in each version of the Java agent, see Java agent versions.
Golang agent versions
For feature iterations in each version of the Golang agent, see Golang agent versions.
Agent lifecycle
The lifecycle of each officially released agent version lasts for six months from the release date.
After the agent version you are using expires, you can continue to use Microservices Governance. However, if you require technical support, you will be asked to update the agent version first.
